  1. I remember it happening once before a while back. Not the same tesla scam though. I think someone stole linus' SMS 2FA by getting the carrier to do a sim replacement.
  2. oh wow didn't think of that. It would be infuriating to mess around with drivers and that for hours only to realize that it was just the Ethernet cable
  3. have some pictures of the what you mean by usb charging on the same wire that goes to the laptop. Wouldn't it just be a usb port on the brick itself.
  4. games like that either of these will do great.
  5. both should be pretty similar as they have virtually the same specs (and at 1080p the difference in vram won't affect perfromance) but a 940M isn't going to do to well with a 1080p screen. What sort of games do you intend to play as you may want to look for something with a lower resolution screen as it will result in a better fps than a 1080p screen. If your only intending to play older pc games then both will be fine
  6. If by upgrade the asus you mean get a new router. Set it up as new plug the Ethernet into the WAN or "internet" port on your new router and all your devices into the lan ports in the router than setup the new router with the instructions in the box. FIOS BOX ---> New WiFi Router ---> Devices (wired&wireless) if you do it like this than you wont need to worry about IP settings as the new router should take care of that in its first time setup.
  7. Good ol' ADSL... with outstanding upload speeds due to technical limitations. and then there's 4G from the exact same spot a few weeks back... at 2am
  8. maybe try picking up a cheap gigabit Ethernet card to put in your system a different chip-set maker as that might be a frustrating way of solving the issue as long as you don't mind the extra card in you system. There pretty cheap $20AUD and if it doesn't work keep it as a spare.
  9. you might also want to check out pccasegear.com I brought my pc and other stuff from there and they have good prices and package things very well. They are in VIC and I'm in WA and never had an issue.
  10. Something like this perhaps https://youtu.be/PpXOvjavjWc
  11. https://youtu.be/QZC7Zjl6GD4 you may need a newer modem as well
  12. Plug your PC directly into the router via Ethernet and see if the speed improves if it does then you should consider getting a faster router(no need to upgrade the card in your PC as its already compatible with faster routers).
  13. maybe try emailing their support team. Also maybe remove the battery from the remote and disconnect your car battery for an hour or so to try and reset both units.
