  1. The Saga continues. Upgraded to a new PC, with a 1070, 7700K, 16gb Ram, MSI carbon ac mitx mobo, 600W be quiet PSU, Silverstone TD02, and have had continual issues that I think are GPU driver related. At first I was getting repeated crashes to desktop while gaming, which was eventually fixed with a TDR delay regedit fix. This then was causing After effects and premiere to crash upon launch. I proceeded to install a different TDR fix (called TDR manipulator, which jsut had different red values) which stopped the programs crashing on startup, and also stopped games crashing. BUt alas upon trying to export a time lapse from After effects i came back to my PC restarted. Further investigation showed crashing with other After effects uses like playback with effects etc. I ran Driver verifier and came back with a few DMP files, which I am unable to read. If anyone has suggestions how to try fix this rubbish for ever I would be so grateful, or if someone can get any info out of the DMP files 021817-8046-01.dmp 021817-8234-01.dmp 021917-7921-01.dmp 021917-8234-01.dmp
  2. Okay, after further investigation The TDR fixer supplied by the makers of DDU fixed the issues with gaming and in premiere and after effects. This is the same fix as with the TDR delay regedit fix, but used higher delay values than those recomended on other posts. Hope this helps anyone out!
  3. I tried my 780 after a fresh install of Drivers after a DDU clean and installing the up to date drivers with the old card and continue to get crashes in games and still have the after effects/premiere issue (after a fresh install also). This is leaving me absolutely perplexed. This identifies the GPU is not faulty, and hence there must be some kind of driver issue. Or possibly a motherboard issue? I would love some more recommendations of what else to try... I have my old system here, might try chuck my OS and new GPU into there and see what happens...
  4. Recently bought a new system, i7 7700k under a Silverstone tundra TDO2, 16gb ram, MSI Carbon ac mITX mobo, Be Quiet! Pure Power 9 600W CM Power Supplyand a Gigabyte Geforce 1070 G1 gaming . Since building it the PC will soft crash to desktop whilst gaming, but Premiere and After effects was working. I did a clean install of windows and the crashing persisted, Tried DDU to change the drivers again, system still persisted to crash in games. This was odd as performance is as expected and there is no heating issue with the PC either and no overclocking of GPU or CPU. Clean installed windows for a third time, and discovered the TDR Delay fix, which seemed to have stopped the. I kept with this setup for a while until I reinstalled after effects and Premiere and Lightroom. Lightroom has no issues with teh build, but both Premiere and After effects cannot get past the launch splash screen without giving a GPU manager error with varying error codes. With this issue i suspected again drivers to be the issue so updated the adobe products and reinstalled graphics drivers with DDU once more. Still no fix to the crashes, whilst also removing my TDR delay fixes from the registry. My question is, where should I go from here? Try another clean install? Try another video card? RMA the video Card? Any help would be great, been dealing with this for 3 weeks now on and off and its getting very draining... Cheers:)
  5. Fittingly computer crashed mid way though that post. Attached is the error message from the notifications pane in windows 10. I am unsure at this point whether the issue is related to my CPU which I fear may be dying or is merely a driver/windows error.... Cheers
  6. Recently upgraded my cpu to a used 2600k and have started in the last 2 weeks to have crashes on my system. Primarily when gaming the game will flash to a black screen and popup some variation of a graphics crash warning. Windows 10 notification area then gives a warning saying application x has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware. if I then. Try and play a game without restarting I suffer significant frame rate loss but don't see further crashes. This has now been happening on Overwatch, GTAV and other titles with even Google Chrome having the same crash and warnings. This is on windows 10 64 bit anniversary edotion (maybe causing the issue?) Specs: i7 2600k, gigabyte ud3h motherboard, 16gb Corsair vengeance, 120gb Samsung SSD, 2tb hdd, evga 780 sc edition gpu and 650 Watt bronze antec psu. The issue seems to be getting worse with occasional windows crashes and boot failures which were previously never seen before. I have used DDU and reinstalled drivers multiple times and have recently updated mobo and cpu bios and drivers also. Thanks in advance guys
  7. Not surprised with how dodgy the online store is and how disorganised the store is near my place.
  8. Hey, Just wonderring if anyone knows of any good gaming laptop deals in Australia at the moment? Doesn't specifically need to be a 'gaming' model but would prefer an i7-xxxxHQ cpu, with a GTX850m or better, with a 1080p screen. Goal price is $1000 australian, but can stretch a bit. This is the best thing I've found so far: http://www.msy.com.au/notebooks/15444-acer-nitro-vn7-591g-79fb-i7-4720hq-8g-1tb-156fhd-win81-64bit-4g-gtx960m.html
  9. I'd love to win the Roccat Kova to replace my 4 year old Razor Deathaddor, Theres a crack along the Mouse 1 button and I don't think it has long to live before detachment.
  10. Thanks for the help everyone but for like 20 bucks more I got a 780 Instead
  11. Thanks for the swift help guys! I just saw a few contradicting benchmarks but I think they must have been off...
  12. Hi all, I'm in the market to trade up from my trusty old 560ti! I am unsure which route to go down, a second hand 770 or a new 960. They both are roughly the same price here in Australia and was wondering which option would yield better performance? I am just upgrading to a 1440p monitor also on my 2500k rig. Thanks!
  13. Hey, I'm in need of a new laptop for uni and general purpose. I was wondering if anyone knows of anything half decent for around or under $700. Things I'm looking for in the laptop: Number pad Decent power Would prefer GPU also, but a compromise would be made if a nice ultrabook or something was available. My main thing here is something with decent specs for word, excel, and assignment work, as well as possibly photoshop and lightroom use on the side. Gaming performance isn't essential as I have a Rig at home. The closest and best thing I've come across so far is this: http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/asus-transformer-book-flip-tp500ln-15-6-core-i5-laptop-sytp500li5 But I would like to go a bit cheaper if possible. Thanks in advance!
