    It wouldn't matter, and it would depend on the nic itself regardless it won't make a difference.

    No, as the nic will use the pcie lanes from the chipset, not the cpu.
     
    Also running a gpu in x8 won't hurt performance.

    What nic and motherboard
     
    Most are 2.0 x8.
     
    For pcie on lga 115X, you have 16 lanes from the cpu and upto andouther 16(z77) from the chip set for thing like nics, wifi, usb3, thunderbolt, and ssds.
