  1. It's not pre-built, I built it myself, I've done many builds but this is my first time on AM5, maybe I fucked up? CPU install seemed just like on Intel LGA. Anyways, I'm running memtest86 and this is what I'm getting so far. I don't really know what it means, just that something is wrong Edit: Turns out it's ram compatibility issue. 1 stick worlds fine but 2 causes problems. I will try to return them. Thanks for your help.
  2. Thanks for your answer. PSU is a Corsair RM850x. GPU is Aorus Master 6900XT. RAM is 2 sticks of Kingston KF560C32RS-16 I tried Prime95 and while it didnt crash, I got this fatal error. I will try updating bios to see if it helps with stability. (I did not OC or enable PBO)
  3. Hey guys, I just bought a new PC with a Ryzen 7600, and I think it may be faulty. Boots up just fine, but whenever I try 3d mark, the GPU test works beautifully and when the CPU test begins, it crashes immediately. It's not a complete system crash, only 3dmark crashes. I downloaded Cinebench23 but I couldn't even try it because explorer.exe crashed while decompressing the zip file. I tried some games and they crash randomly. All Temps look good. XMP/EXPO isnt enabled and the sticks are listed in my motherboard memory support list (Gigabyte B650 Gaming X) Any ideas??
  4. In that case try making a backup and the installing it again
  5. I also have to live with 2mb/s What I do is copy the game on another folder, uninstall it, copy it back to the origin games folder, start the download again, and it should recognize the files.
  6. Hmm no, why? I already looked it up and theres 1 partition with 1 MB or so, which im guessing is reserved for drive information, and then the rest is one partition. Shadow copy and windows restore is disabled for this drive, I did find a page file for 1 GB which is nothing compared to 300+, and I did find hidden system files from an old windows installation on this HDD from before I had an SSD, so maybe I should copy all my files to another HDD, format this one and then copy them back again. I'm not sure that's the problem though, I haven't used this drive as a system drive for more than 6 years now, and I've had more than 500 GB of games at one point in this HDD, and I'm sure the used space info was correct back then, but I guess you never know with Windows...
  7. I've had gaming headsets and so did some of my friends, and I can tell you they are definitely not worth it. If you don't care that much about sound quality, get regular "non-gaming" headsets with a microphone. Maybe try them on and see if they are comfortable. If you do care about sound quality but don't want to spend too much money, most gaming headsets wont give you anything much better than some regular decent headsets, and they will cost more. If you want good quality sound, get headsets from a proper audio brand like Sennheiser, AKG, or Audio-Technica. Most of them don't have microphones, like the AKG K240, but the sound quality of them is miles ahead of any gaming headphones from Razer or similar brands, specially for only $80 I personally have the Sennheiser Game One, which are more expensive because they are "gaming" and the sound quality is very similar to the AKG I mentioned, but they do have an integrated mic, while the AKG do not. If you have enough space, the AKG with a regular cheap standalone mic would be the best if you don't want to spend a lot.
  8. Did you make a fresh Windows install? I know that nowadays you can just swap hardware and it works, but back in the day you had to reinstall every single thing again. Maybe that would help. Also check your temperatures.
  9. I have an SSD with Windows and essential software only, and a backup HDD with files and some games. I don't have that many files so it seemed strange to me that I have more than 500 GB in use, so I selected all the folders and files and hit properties, and it says the total is 230 GB. However, when I select the hard drive and hit properties, it says that I have 544 GB in use. I already did a disk cleanup with the Windows tool, and defragged the drive (apparently Windows does it automatically every week anyways). Any ideas on what it might be? I doubt I have more than 300 GB of hidden Windows files in a 1 TB drive lol I added a picture so you can see what I'm talking about
  10. i suggest to try using the launch options except the one that uses 4 threads and disable multi core rendering in game.
  11. i had a similar problem, solved it by disabling multi core rendering. you should disable launch options too
  12. to be honest I dont know why are you even asking this. you literally cant go wrong, just choose the monitors, keyboard and mouse you like the most (there are plenty of reviews out there) and then just choose the best cooling according to what you want (again, there are plenty of reviews out there). then just pick the best cpu, mobo, etc you can afford and thats it. you said you arent a video editor, so theres literally no pc you could buy for $8000 that wont be good for gaming and programming
  13. I have a qck and I recommend it 100%. Great control, rubber base and comes in a lot of sizes. Although its not stitched, I found it to be quite durable
  14. i think your temperature problems have little to do with ambient temperature... unless its 60 degrees... you should try and fix that, and see what happens. maybe replace thermal compound. its impossible to have such high temperatures without oc on water
