  1. My gf's rig had a A10-6800k and when we upgraded to a gtx 760 instead of the iGPU the CPU was bottlenecking the GPU. Problem solved when we upgraded to a locked i5. Be carefull on what u decide cause i dont think u want to spend more than u first expected. Personally i'd go for a r7 265 cause its cheaper than the gtx 750 ti and performs the same. If your PSU cant hold the r7 265 go for the 750 ti. Cheers
  2. Hi, i was in the same spot when trying to choose on a cheap gaming rig cause my laptop couldnt handle 1080p gaming. At the end i chose the pentium instead of the 860k cause of five reassons. Upgradability, was cheaper then the 860k, found a 20 euro mobo at the time (asus h81m-c) which i can overclock the pentium easily, uses a bit less wattage than the 860k, and that the games i play i dont really need more than 2 cores. To be honest i was really lucky cause at that time i found an unused 750ti strix for 90 euros, which works great. So in the end i was going for a low wattage build, cause i wanted to save on the PSU also, which is performing great. At this time that i am writing this i have oced the pentium to only 4GHz with a 10 euros after marker cooler(for the looks) and i am a bit below 1.2v. I plan on getting a bit more on it but i dont have the time now. I hope this helps. cheers

For a 600 dollars budget i'd go with something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Nj3kqs. If its only for gaming i might went with pentium and a better graphics but you said some server running and stuff so i3 might do a better job. And if you dont go for 260x or more strong GPU i dont think you will need more than 1GB of Vram.
  4. Hi, if you need all four PCs running i cant suggest something but if two can do the job i would say keep two of the strongest CPU which i think they arent the Celeron and check the compatible rams so you can have 2gigs on each rig. Then for the GPU used ones should be fine if you can check they work before buying them and also checking if your PSU can handle them.
  5. I dont get what you mean by saying that. You mean that you already bought a motherboard(socket 1150) and then checked that it wont overclock the Pentium g3258 or you mean your current motherboard(socket 775) which isnt compatible with the Pentium cant overclock it? If you want to upgrade your CPU to a newer one you will have to upgrade your Motherboard with it, so they will be compatible. If you only want to upgrade your CPU on your current motherboard i think you will find only used ones. Also if you dont have a newer 775 motherboard with ddr3 ram slots it means that you have to buy new rams, if you go to the direction of changing CPU and motherboard. Also, if you decide you want to buy the Pentium g3258 you dont have to buy a Z series motherboard i got an Asus H81M-C which is really cheap and with the bios update i can overclock the G3258. I hope that helps, cheers.
  6. I had to update my bios on a cheap Asus board without using an older chip so it could support my pentium g3258, which wasnt suported before the newer bios release. The only difference is that i could go into bios and flash the new bios from there.
  7. Congrats for the 1M subscribtions. We will all be here to celebrate for the next 1M, and the next, and the next, thats gonna come in the future. I also like to thank LTT for being awsome and the forum for being nice and helpfull, love you guys.
  8. Thanks for the quick replies. I cannot buy from newegg as it doesnt post to my country and amazon will do like 3 weeks to post it so i'd rather buy it from here(greece) thats why i said i can only choose from these power supplies. I also checked the cx500 but here its way too expensive for me atm. So i guess i will go with the corsair vs550?
  9. Hello, recently i bought for my gf a gtx 760 to upgrade her graphics which was the integrated GPU of the APU a10-6800k. The concept of the pc was that she will build something cheap and usable for gaming and upgrading later, which worked nicely. The only problem is that the power supply that was chosen then was the LC-Power LC6550 v2.2 550w which worked really nice up until now powering up the APU alone, but reading some reviews i am starting to think that it wont handle the gtx 760. Wattage wise i should be at the safe side but i don't want to risk it, so i will be taking the power supply for me to power the pentium g3258 and a gtx 750ti which should be a breeze, and buy her a new one. Now the problem is that with the money available i got few choices for power supplies which are: the MS-tech v-go a5.2 520w, the thermaltake hamburg 530w, the corsair vs550, the thermaltake smart m530w, and the ms-tech v-go a6.2 620w. I am leaning to the corsair but i wanted to hear some opinions from you guys. Just to make clear i cannot choose from other power supplies atm. Thanks in advance.
  10. For the Z2 i guess its the camera and the battery life and for the dbrand it will be that it has the LTT skin and its orange!
