  1. Just use 99centdiscount as the promocode, it worked for me a few days ago. http://www.artscow.com/photo-gifts/-160 EDIT: Nevermind, doesn't work anymore...
  2. I had a Zotac 9600GT, it lasted about a week because it ran hot as !@#$. I had an extra fan blowing on it but couldn't keep cool. Most likely it was defective, but I haven't bought a Zotac since. I guess not much has changed with them.
  3. No point in going with an x6, go with an FX 83x0 or save yourself the money and go with an x4. Here are some benchmarks with my 1055T at 3.8GHz, it performs better with 4 cores than 6 on arma 2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2fhuozic24vmixp/fps_pic_2.PNG
  4. Just make sure you don't put both GPU's on the same 12 volt rail, use both. Nope.
  5. I actually just fixed it... Installed the old TrIXX, reset everything, restarted, and removed it. Now the voltage changes like it used to, down to 0.825V at idle and ~1.16V under load. As for locked voltage, I don't think that's the problem, I could change it fine, it just didn't work the way I intended for it to. There is a box in the settings that said "Force constant voltage" which was unchecked but it was still always constant, and for some reason when I removed TriXX it was still constant.
  6. I was trying to overclock my HD 7870 Pitcairn with Sapphire TriXX, but it wasn't letting me change the voltage, so I updated to the latest TriXX, 4.60 I believe. This one lets me change the voltage, but the thing is the voltage is constant all the time, even if I restart without launching TriXX. I even uninstalled TriXX and the voltage stays the same as what I had previously set in TriXX. This is really annoying because it doesn't go into it's low power state any more at ~0.85V, and also I don't want to use TriXX any more, but the voltage is messed up and the only way to change it is through TriXX now, and it will be constant at what I set it. Any idea how to fix it?
  7. Would be a good upgrade for my Nokia E71... https://twitter.com/mattgia3/status/347014629412708352
  8. I've only used cherry's and found they make the key mushy, but they are getting better over time as they break in. Also, I really want to try that mod in the previous post, but I don't know what they mean by "better feel".
  9. Also, I have played around with the channel already, 1 is the best, and most people are on 11 here.
  10. It's definitely in wireless N mode, 25mbps is the max for my internet connection, transferring between computers I get about 40mbps with wireless n, and like 20 with wireless g. Also, the antenna is not meant to be removed on this router. I'm probably going to get a new router(most likely another Linksys). For the time being this will suffice, when I need to do serious work I use my desktop which is hard wired.
  11. I recently switched routers from a 9 year old WRT54G to this other D-Link DIR-601 a1 that I had lying in my basement. When I am next to the router I get my full 25Mbps down 2Mbps up. If I walk about 15 feet away I am down to about 19Mbps down, another 2 feet and down to 11. I have never owned a wireless N router before this one, is the range on wireless N much worse than G? Or is this router just extraordinarily s**t? I really don't want to switch back to the Linksys router because I can only get about 20Mbps with it. Any advice? New router or massive antenna?
  12. Is it possible to unlock 7850's to 7870? If so, that would put you over the performance of the 660ti. NOTE: There is a pretty large risk that you will brick your card and render it useless..
  13. Java, it's a widely used language, pretty easy to learn, performance is "ok" and by the end of the summer you should be able to do something useful with it. Once you learn that, learning other languages like C and C++ will be easy (and C++ is another good place to start).
