  1. On windows 11 your notifications get grouped and you have to click "expand" to see them all. Is there a way to make it so they never group and you can see them all listed separately right away?
  2. That's about fullscreen optimization. A asked about window mode games optimization. I want to know mainly about games that don't have Fullscreen and run in borderless windowed mode.
  3. "Optimizations for windowed games improves gaming on your PC by using a new presentation model for DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 games that appear in a window or in a borderless window." So for DirectX 12 games, is it indifferent?
  4. I remember reading that UWP apps are better because they don't leave and leftovers after uninstallation. And also that Microsoft wants to make everything UWP eventually in the future. Ubisoft are just getting ahead... Epic Games is there too, Discord, nvidia control panel, almost anything these days really. But years ago there used to have differences between the store apps and the traditional installers, some features missing or added.. maybe now it's all the same.
  5. Hm... So what is the difference of the Windows Store app?
  6. I've noticed that unlike Steam, Ubisoft Connect client is already available to install through the Microsoft Store. Is there any advantage in comparison with the traditional installer? Lighter on the system maybe?

    ROG Fusion II 500

How does that DAC compare to a decent gaming motherboard's audio?

    ROG Fusion II 500

I'm looking to upgrade my 10 years old headset. Looking at the ROG Fusion II 500, it states this: "ESS 9280 High Resolution Quad-DAC" The headset has 3.5mm jack, USB-C and USB 2.0. Does the built-in Quad-DAC only matter when using USB?
  9. This video from Linus tells us that Dolby Atmos actually worked. So while virtual and 7.1 surround sound headphones are a gimmick, are the Dolby Atmos headsets, like the Corsair ones worth it?
  10. Anyone? I'm trying to decide between these two and don't wanna regret it. It's mostly for music and some rpg gaming. I'm coming from an old Logitech Z323.
  11. Which speakers have the best sound quality? The Steelseries are more expensive, but maybe mostly due to RGB and gaming gimmick?
  12. And that means nothing if it doesn't translate to more fps in games. https://howmanyfps.com/processors/comparisons/amd-ryzen-5-5600x-vs-intel-core-i5-8500 Maybe they got it reversed...
  13. The i5 8500 gives more FPS in most games. The t5 5600x is superior for multitasking, editing and so on. Overall the 5600x can be considered a better value, but never far superior.
  14. You have a good CPU for gaming. It's not worth changing to a 5600x, for example. The i5 8500 is better in most games.
  15. Just because it can bottleneck a little at 1080p, you'll still have better performance at 1080p than at a higher resolution. Bottleneck doesn't necessarily mean worse performance. What you need is more Ram, 8GB is short these days.
  16. The CPU won't be a bottleneck, especially at 1440p or higher resolution. You should upgrade to 16GB of Ram, the recommended for Day Z is 12GB.

  18. Yeah, randomly, but not when I move the cable, usually when left alone. Works flawlessly for one entire day and the next day it's dead for 20 minutes. So strange. Well...
  19. I read about that, I updated to the most recent Bios from the end of 2022. Also tried disabling usb suspension, even c-states. Is it possible that my PC is doing something to the mouse that can make it not to work also on other computer? Because I've tried on another computer (Intel) and it was also dead.
  20. Months ago my still new TUF Gaming M3 mouse started to randomly disconnect and immediately reconnect, almost unnoticed, I would just hear the disconnected device sound and see the RGB color restarting. The situation has been degrading with time. Now, every day the mouse appears dead when I boot the computer. I have to spend 1, 3, 10, sometimes 20 minutes replunging the USB cable until eventually it magically starts. After one or two ours, it disconnects out of nowhere and I have to replug the USB cable, one or several times again. I tried the mouse on another computer, it also didn't work. Back to my computer, I had to replug the cable many times during half an hour for it to come back to life. It seems to be a problem with the mouse, internally. I'm not sure what could cause this behavior, the mouse works perfectly for many hours straight and then out of nowhere, or the next day when booting the PC, it will appear dead for several minutes. Don't know if a future firmware update could fix this...Any ideias?
  21. Always update your drivers manually or using the manufacturer's software. Then I use CCleaner and Revo Uninstaller free, you don't need anything else.
  22. I've been experimenting in Hogwarts Legacy and it seems the game runs smoother with in-game V-Sync. If it d'esnm't affect G-Sync maybe I'll use it, Yeah I use Low Latency and cap FPS to 3 FPSs below my monitor's refresh rate,
  23. Nowadays most people know that you should use V-Sync and G-Sync together. Most people enable V-Sync in the control panel, but I've heard that you should enable V-Sync in-game instead, because it may contain specific in-game optimizations. If V-Sync is enabled in-game and off in the control panel, will that change the way it affects G-Sync?
  24. It has been proven that you can be infected on legit websites, even with common sense, it's important to have a basic AV.
  25. 32" 1440p has the same ppi as 24" 1080p. For me it makes no sense, since there's no actual improvement on the resolution. Having that huge 32" monitor for PC, makes you have to move your head a lot, that's terrible for online gaming. And if you're just gonna sit further away, then it defeats the point of having a bigger monitor. 27" already gives you a lot of immersion at an arm's distance.
