Hi everyone on the forum. I really need help getting my head around the networking side and I will try to tell you everything I possibly can but aware I have no knowledge in network.
So my new house has two Ethernet wall ports. One in my room and one in the kitchen. Now, my ISP originally Telstra (I'm in Austalia) gave us a modem router but Telstra was removed from our area and is now brought by a new ISP. They sent us a new modem router and got that connected and all good. Now, lately I was wondering why I never tried setting up my own modem and all this wireless stuff in my room as my wifi connection from my room to the kitchen is around 22 meters with couple of walls making my connection somewhat average. Now, school is almost finish and want to get back into all these awesome games coming out on both pc and console (don't hate...as much). Now this is where I'm stuck. How the hell do I get my port in my room to work and spent the whole day just playing with it and such. So the kitchen router goes like this (Ethernet cable from wall > into a adsl splitter > with one adsl cable going into my home phone and > one into the modem. I tried using my old modem from Telstra and connected the cables as they see fit and no internet connection. Took one of the adsl cables from the splitter and the phone and tried that. no internet connection. Now I'm getting really frustrated and want to pull my hair out and decided ask you guys for help cause I know you guys are helpful. Where do I start, what do I need, what do I do, what I should buy, because all I can think off right now is buy a new modem because maybe the unknown brand telstra one doesn't work and that setting up the new modem following the instructions will work or do I need to do more and call my ISP etc.
Hi guys. I am in need of a powerline adapter as my room is the furthest from the router, around 25 meters with about 4 walls in between (2 major walls and 2 minor walls). My connection is good but not good enough for me to enjoy gaming online and being in Australia, I'm even more at a more disadvantage. No matter what the cost is, what would you guys recommend if you were in my situation.
If you need an idea for a gold style I recommend looking at these pictures. http://million-dollar-pc.com/systems-2013/murderbox-mkii-gold/murderbox-mk2-gold.htm
a tj07 with a carbon fiber finish and with the side vents on the bottom of both the side panels shaped of the bonnet air ducts of a nissan skyline r35 with a gtr badge at the front as the power button. the power button will have a clear R with a red led behind it to show that it is on. the interior of the case will use cold zero parts with a piece of red acrylic behind with white leds in them to give it a soft glow with slight modifications to the cz parts to show more of the red acrylic. the intensity of the white led will increase with the temps of the cpu (i know sounds silly) and when in idle, while slowly pulsate/breathe.

Looks really nice, although I prefer a Geforce logo to be lit up but not bad. What will competitors like EK and XSPC do ?
Has anyone ever brought corsair sleeved cables for their psu and changed some of the sleeving on them maybe like one or two of the cables to another colour.
