Yeah I did try the molex-sata first and then the tape after everything else failed. I am not using any SATA card, off from the MB itself. -

Is it possible that my PC cannot support it? I have i5-3550, forgot the motherboard. And 750 GPU which is powering 2HDDs and 2 SSDs. I unplugged 1 HDD to have this new one. -

So the molex-sata did not work, even if I buy an external case or try to only tape the 3rd pin it still wouldn't detect right? -

Below is the description of the item. And I do not hear of feel that the drive is spinning. And I taped it like this: The HDD details just to be sure: -
Hi @Kilrah Thanks for your insight. I do not know about networking at all, how can I set up a personal VPN for free and with decent speed?

Hello All, I am trying to enable SMB to my own computer. I am successfully accessing the SMB using local IP and creds. I have enabled the SMB port for public IP and the IP can be accessed from other PCs but asking for Network credentials. When I use the same creds that I am using for local IP, it gives the incorrect message. How can I access my SMB from outside my network without any 3rd party app? Thanks & Regards, Dash

DashAki replied to DashAki's topic in New Builds and Planning
Hi @FI Fheonix I have not yet built my PC, will take a time but thinking of below after the recommendations: CPU: i5-13600KF Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Alpha DDR5 Ram 32GBキット (2x16GB) 5600MHz (PC5-44800) CL40 Board: MSI PRO Z690-A ProSeries DDR5 Cooler: DeepCool AK500 Drive: Crucial P5 Plus 1TB SSD Supports PS5™ PCIe Gen4(was cheaper than "Crucial SSD P3 M.2 1TB PCIe Gen3x4") -

Hello @FI Fheonix, @mononymous, @Ryuikko Sorry for the late response. Thank you so much for the recommendations. BTW, will my PUS able to handle the load and is there anything that I am missing? Thanks & Regards, Dash -

Hi @FI Fheonix Thank you for the suggestion. It seems that the 13600K support good DDR5, should I go with DDR5? And also, ASUS Z690-PLUS D4 is still good enough for the motherboard side. About the cooler, do you have any recommendations? I have never used a AIO before and I am always afraid of temps. Thanks & Regards, Dash -
Budget (including currency): 150,000yen or around 1,100dollars. Country: Japan Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Dota 2, CS: GO, Diablo IV, Tekken 8, Software development with emulators, Virtual machines for media server, etc., Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts: CPU: i5-3550 GPU: NVidia 2070 super PSU: Corsair CX750M Memory: DDR3 16GB Thinking: CPU: Intel i7-12700K Memory: CORSAIR DDR5-5600MHz VENGEANCE 32GB or Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3600MHz Board: ASUS Z690-PLUS D4 Drive: Crucial P5 Plus 1TB SSD

I am "kinda" their tech consultant. Now they are getting GTX1080ti cuz 980ti is nowhere to be found in my country because it is not being manufactured. What specs should they get for the machine? The company is for 3D house Interior Design. So.....

The system is for my office, They have already bought the tower except GPU, So i was wandering that GPU to go with it. It is rendering 3D images from 3Dmax and AutoCad all day long and run projects. The monitor they are working on is an ordinary 1080p something. They just wanted me to check things out, If you would suggest, What specs should I get for 3D rendering machine?
