ProAFKGuy got a reaction from Luc401 in Cheap 7970 Should I get it?

I already have one of these should I get one of these and then download to beta drivers? Or is there still a lot of problems with crossfire still? Even if I don't get it I thought this might just be nice for others so they could get a really awesome graphics card.

How about instead of trying to do damage to your 300$ CPU, you just buy something like this?

ProAFKGuy reacted to Lycr in The Pursuit of Happiness.
Greetings ladies and gentlemen, I've had this computer for a year as of February 2013, when I got her, the original budget was around $1200 AU, I wasn't confident enough building, or picking the parts out myself, so I had a friend do it.
Here she was when she was first put together:
Of course, I like to tinker with things, so I mess around, and the guts looked a little like this:
At the time of the photo, the specs were:
Alas, in the pursuit of perfection, I have replaced most of the parts, and she stands proud today.
Disregard the red sata cable, it's no longer there.
Current specs:
NZXT Phantom 820 in matte black
i7 3770k @ 4.2GHz (1.1V @ mid 50's Celsius)
Asus Sabertooth Z77
Corsair H100
MSI GTX660TI Power Edition
Corsair Vengeance 12GB (Gave a stick to a friend)
Corsair AX860i
Intel 330 series 120GB SSD
3 x 2TB Western Digital Greens in Raid 5
oh, and Corsair's green sleeved psu cables
I don't quite know what's next, as I'm quite happy with it right now. For what I use it for, it's fine.
