  1. The told me that they had the same problem with me, that GPU wasn't posting. Edit: my GPU is working fine..
  2. At default settings, which means 1.25V(I think) to 1.5V depending on the load... I wrote my full problem a week ago... here is the original post.
  3. I sent the CPU back and they replaced it, they found an issue, now I'm afraid to put it in the motherboard. I only lowered the voltages just to get better temperatures and extend CPU's lifespan, cause I didn't like the 1.5V I was seeing... the later didn't happen though ...
  4. Hello LTT community! I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 5900x and an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard. After 2 weeks of use my CPU died. I have a Seasonic Prime 650W 80+ Platinum which I've been using for the past 6 months with no problem at all. OC wise, I lowered the voltages with the curve optimizer and lowered the max temperature, from 90, to 80 Celsius. The only unusual thing I noticed almost from the begging was that the GPU driver was failing randomly. Is it possible the motherboard might be faulty and killed the CPU? Or the CPU had a problem from the begging and eventually died? Any opinion will be helpful! Thanks in advance!
  5. Hello LTT community! I recently decided to upgrade my PC with a new platform, so I got a Ryzen 5900x( plus a NH-D15 cooler), a pair of 16GB G.Skill TridentZ Neo (F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC) which have Hynix chips ( C16 TridentZ with Bdies was 50% more expensive for some reason !! LOL ) and an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard. Also, I have a Seasonic Prime 650W 80+ Platinum which I've been using for the past 6 months with no problem at all. So, I swap my old mobo out with the new one, after I checked if it was posting and updated to latest stable BIOS, and everything was working great! I didn't reinstall Windows, I just removed old drivers and installed new ones. 3 days later I got a BSOD. After some testing, I found out that one of my ram modules is faulty, so I returned them and it turns out that both were faulty. While I was waiting for the replacements, I had to use two old 4GB sticks, which were working ok. After one weak, while my PC was working and I was AFK at the moment, I came back and it had a black screen. I tried to restart and the boot would stuck at vga error. Long story short, it turned out my CPU was also faulty, or died IDK. The only thing I've done, OC wise, was to lower the voltages with the curve optimizer and lower the max temperature, from 90, to 80 Celsius, everything else I left it to default (I might also have lowered the max power draw). Today, I have the replacements (CPU and RAM), but I'm afraid to put them in my motherboard. By the way, the store I got the mobo, will ship the mobo abroad for testing and they said I'll have to wait for more than a month. Because I wonder if it's worth waiting for over a month I ask: Did someone had any similar experience with a probably faulty motherboard? Can a CPU be faulty and die after 2 weeks of use? Anyone had new Hynix RAM that were faulty? (because of the story that Hynix had some faulty chips shiped) Should I return the motherboard too? Thanks in advance! Have a nice week!
  6. Thanks for the reply! they seem powerful indeed...i ll check some reviews and availability in my country..
  7. I 've never used none of the new cpus, but from what i ve seen from reviews and pricing right now the r5 1600 seems to be the choice because it has the most value of all....if you dont plan to change cpu in the next 5+ years you can go with the r7 1700 for a more "futureproof" solution....plus you get a free good cooler for free with either of them... sorry for my english
  8. Hello, I believe you should go with the arctic cooling MX-4...as it is a little better that AS5(1-2 degrees C) and you can use it wherever you want, on cpus, gpus,NB,SB because it is ceramic based and it does not conduct electicity.
  9. Hello! I wanted suggestions for value pressure optimized fans for a normal 240 radiator(noctua are too expensive). I have in mind the bitfenix spectre pro 120s, and the corsair sp120s. Are there any other quality fans that aren't very expensive? Do you have any experience using them? Thanks a lot!
  10. I'm using an aftermarket aircooler, zalman CNPS10X Performa to be exact, but i need even better cooling. My cpu runs on idle @48C because at summer ambient tempature is about 30 degrees Celcius (i've checked the paste and the mounting of my cooler and they are ok) and i dont believe that the improvement of an other aircooler will be that great. Thanks man.
  11. Hello! I'm about to upgrade my cooling for my cpu. The aio lcs from Deepcool Maelstrom 240t(http://www.deepcool.com/product/gamerstorm/2015-04/6_1827.shtml) costs only 64 euros and Noctua NH-U12S(http://noctua.at/en/nh-u12s.html) costs 65 euros. I know that noctua is top in cpu cooling but i believe the watercooling will perform better. Can i trust deepcool? Any bad experiences from deepcool watercooling systems? And your opinion on which one should i buy. Thanks a lot!
  12. Hello, I 've just bought a new ram stick ( http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1333c9s-4gns ) and my motherboard( http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/4Core1600Twins-P35/ ) can't recognise it for some reason..... i updated the bios, the stick isn't faulty cause it is working on another pc...... the story is that the pc can't even post with the new stick ... i also tried other sticks and they 've worked fine(older ones)....the only thing i can think ,which is odd, is that the stick i bought isn't compatible with the motherboard or the MB is too old..... but i can't find any compatible stick because the motherboard is 8 years old (lol).....does anyone have a clue why it isn't working??? ohh i also run two 4GB different sticks at the same time(including the new one) and the pc run while only reading, in windows and in bios, the other stick. The only odd thing was that cpuZ was reading totally 8GBs of ram while in bios and windows total of 4GBs. I don't know.....could it be the MB, the RAM or the PSU? Thanks.
  13. Thanks for the replies.... Captain_WD, The old drive is a seagate barracuda 7200.12 1 TB (exact model is ST3100528AS).....it is set as NTFS of course...but i don't remember the partitioning method....i believe that it's MBR.......the new drive is a WD Caviar Green 3TB(it was making a clicking sound and even the bios couldn't locate it) so I believe that the drive is faulty so I'm waiting for a WD Red 2TB to replace it....
