  1. Hi, I have a problem, my power supply has a case of whining. I've recently bought a CM V-series 550w power supply I've send it back to the reseller, but they could not reproduce the same whining as I have at home. At this point I don't know if it's coil whine (probably not) or even caused by the psu. The sound deffenitly came from the psu, but since the could not reproduce it, I don't know if its the fault of the PSU. My question is if it's possible that my motherboard causes coilwhine in my powersupply or if it's something like ripple in the AC. - prof7
  2. Yeah, I won't get a desktop for a very long time either I think. It's almost the case that @LinusTech wanted the lianli pc to be. I would love to see it build actually
  3. The TFX psu is on the left right (it was on the left when I had the solidworks file open). Btw, the orange part is a one piece, 3d printed part. I made it orange to fit the LTT color scheme, and you can't make an LTT case without noctua Edit: don't look too much at the internals, those are just placeholders. I made them based upon dimensions not upon looks. I will have plans up shortly, but today and tomorrow I have somewhat limited time.
  4. You will need a cnc laser cutter, a cnc bending/folding machine and a 3d printer. I could put up some plans, but my pc is rendering atm
  5. I'm rendering a picture for you atm so you can see where it goes, but it's not a SFX psu, it's a TFX psu because SFX was too big. (That's when you know that you got a small pc )
  6. Hi guys, I really like small form factor gaming pc's, but the cases on the market are still to big to replace a xbone or a ps4. So I designed a case thats smaller than a xbone and is more powerful. This design is smaller than the xbone, if I recall it's about 5.5 liters. It uses a small gpu (ie gygabite 970 itx), a flexible gpu riser and a tfx power supply to achieve this formfactor. This is almost what Linus mentioned in the Lian-Li video, but it has a psu inside rather than a power brick. I don't have the money to build it, so I'm just throwing this out here. Sincerely -Prof 7
  7. Hi, I need some advice, I'm thinking of buying a wireless 3d mouse. But I already have a wireless mouse and my question is: will mouse A interfere with mouse B since they both probably work on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Any advice would be appreciated, -Prof7
  8. Thank you, I look forward to your review. Thank you so much for your review. I have been using my m570 for about a year and a half and I love it and hate it at the same time. For very precise movements, like for CAD, I sometimes have to use my thumb and my index finger and this is very annoying at times. Also I have somewhat small hands (size 8 glove in the Netherlands). So the m570 is about half a centimeter to big for my taste. How is the scroll wheel click on the Elecom? I found the m570 to have a horrible scroll wheel (ARGH Logitech, why don't you put the Microgear scrollwheel on the m570 /rant). Tanks again for the review
  9. The HD518 are pretty good, and so is the hyperx cloud. Which one you want to choose depends on if you want an open sound or a closed sound. I haven't heard of the PDP's. If you need some info about open/closed heaphones: link
  10. Maybe it doesn't look better, but maybe it is better. The m570 maybe well know (relatively), but the build quality is mediocre - good I'm just curios if anyone has tried it here
  11. Hello, I have a logitech m570 and came across the Elecom M-XT1URBK. My question: has anyone tried it yet? It looks better than the m570, but it has some negative reviews.
  12. I don't know if the pads are the same as the dt 770 pads. If they are, you wont have any problems with them. I tried them with sunglasses and didn't feel any uncomfortable spots on my head due to clamping force. Logan made a video about the dt 880 pro and premium. I imagine that the differences are the same on the dt 990's.

    Need some advice

I agree with both c3p0_ and ShearMe. A dac will probably make my headphones sound better. The only thing is, it's not in my budget and it's less noticeable with €150 headphones than when i'm about to buy €500 headphones -which i'm not-. I'm searching for really comfortable headphones and thought about the dt 770 (32 ohm version). The only thing is the look, they don't look that great. Custom One Pro's are an option, but they say the sound is better on the dt770 Any advice?

Could very well be the case, they weren't very expensive IEM's The only time when I have that problem is with my cheap IEM's. I thought that it may lay with the onboard audio, but @ShearMe pointed out it probably is the volume control on the IEM themselves. I really want to but I dont have that much money . Those DAC's are more expensive than the headphone I'm planning to buy I want some really comfy headphones, and I'm thinking Custom One Pro or dt770 (32 ohm version)
