Just built a new rig for 3D rendering a couple of days ago. Currently putting it through its passes to see how it performs. This is my first ever AMD build so I'm still learning. Ryzen Threadripper 3970x Cooling: Custom loop - 2x360 EK rads - Heatkiller copper/nickel block R20 Score 19344 - 4.425GHz all core @ 1.45v (CB wasn't very stable when rendering at this speed and voltage though) R15 Score 7809 - 4.3GHz all core @ 1.35v (v stable)

Cinebench R20 6950X @ 4.5 GHz CPU Score 5136 CPU Single Score 417 I'm happy with that.......... I think ?

Got to agree with FLoRolf here if you've got zero experience with 3d modeling then I'd start with something far simpler. Maybe start of with just trying to create one of the towers and see how you get on with that first. This'll also give you an idea about how long creating the entire scene will take. Take a look at this vid to see how much detail this guy achieved in around a 100 hours of work in blender Personally If I was making this and had to model all the assets from scratch and texture them, I'd probably want at least a week to do even a half decent job at recreating this and I've got over 15 years experience with 3d modelling.

Just replaced my i7 5960X with a 6950X overclocked to 4.5GHz So I thought I'd give it a quick try on cinebench and wow! I do believe its got the top score for a 6950X
