  1. I changed the PSU to a new rm850 and no more crashes. Must have been the psu
  2. So bit of a story but I'll try to keep it short. New PC. (Windows 11) New Parts I7 12700k Geforce RTX 3070 TUF Gaming edition Asus TUF Gaming z690 Plus Wifi 32 GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum I believe but I couldn't locate model at the moment Re-Used Parts 1 Samsung 850 evo 512GB SSD 2 WD 1TB Drives in RAID 0 Corsair RM 750Watt from 2015. This is the year of purchase not the year of manufacture Currently have 3 Monitors Plugged in (Misc Brands) Had a long battle with the RAID array because the bios VMD and Intel's Rapid storage tech was missing a driver. Finally solved that issue. Thought I was done but new issue is this, I've been launching up CS GO and it crashes after like 5-15 mins in game. The kind of crash you experience if you were to have a power failure. Just shuts off immediately. Have not tried other games yet...will update as I do. The things I tried to fix this were to go from XMP 2 --> then to XMP 1 --> then to AUTO ( no fix) I also tried with Resizable Bar on and off (no fix) Other than that I haven't changed any other settings in BIOS. I also checked to make sure the GPU and CPU fans were spinning to eliminate overheating as an issue. They were...the last crash the GPU was only at 52 deg C. Pls Help lol ! Only other thing that might be relevant is I borrowed one PSU cable from another system in the house. For an additonal 8 pin GPU plug. Both are Corsair and I checked the Pin outs with a multimeter to verify it won't fry my system. So I believe it should be fine. ( I had to borrow a cable because mine never shipped with 2 of these cables.) Could there be a chance that this PSU even though its 750W should be substantial enough just isn't up to the challenge of a more modern system????? I should also note I've been having issues with my speedtests. My download speed is fine but my uploads continue to only test at 0MBps. This is the first time I've ever experienced this. I am hardwired into router.
  3. I'm researching a lot on it trying to decide what to do. This wasn't planned I just happened to have to identical drives and wanted to check out raid if it was worth it. Seems like it's not for my situation.
  4. Okay so I have two identical WD Black 1TB HDD. I want to put them into raid 0 and want to know which way is better since I don't have a separate raid card. Should I use the MOBO and setup raid or should I do it through windows 10? Can I install windows onto it if I set it up through software? Doesn't seem so.
  5. what does it do though to make it boot faster? because I have no problem getting to my bios it is not that fast for me
  6. apologies on the spam of same post it wasn't telling me the post went through so i clicked post a few times woops
  7. im not claiming to be any expert on the topic but looking here http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=2436&gid2=1861&compare=geforce-gtx-960-2gb-vs-radeon-r9-280 i see that the gtx 960 has direct x12 support while the 280 doesn't for that alone I would get the 960. Im also looking to get a 960 but im waiting for the 4GB models from asus and i need to save a little more

  10. I was in the bios and I noticed that there was a fast boot option in there what exactly does it do. it is enabled by default. what would disabling it do?
  11. I was only able to get one side of the screws in because for it to fit I needed to shift it over so i have all screws in but on one side only. It's also not hanging it's on the top mount of my case so its laying on top ( not being suspended by the screws)
  12. Probably a pretty obvious answer but when mounting my radiator for it to fit I could only use the screw holes on half of it so my question is, is it fine using only half the mounting screws. It's a an h100i I'll probably respond to any answers tomorrow
  13. well the two of you both just said I pretty much need to copy and paste it. I just didn't want to do this cuz the files are in so many different spots its gonna be like a scavenger hunt
  14. I have a old windows xp machine that I'm finally trying to backup and save all my files from because it's finally time to trash it. I try to then take that file and put it on a windows 8.1 machine and I don't know how the file is a .dat file so I don't know what to do
  15. I built my first pc and it would randomly freeze when I was trying to download games and apps I use. I had best buy test it and they said bad cpu now today I got a replacement and same issues it freezes before I can get to using it what should I do.
