  1. I'm in the market for two monitors, meeting the following requirements: Prospective Resolution: 3840 X 2160 Size: 27/28 inches Aspect Ratio: 16 : 9 Adaptive Sync: GSync Other Features: True HDR would be nice From a reliable brand - likely to see 10+ hrs use a day VESA 80x80 or 100x100 (i have a dual monitor arm that only supports these mounting options) Inbuilt USB C hub for my Macbook - though can get one elsewhere and mount it behind my monitor Usage Type: Gaming (2-3 hrs a day) General Productivity (I am a software engineer, 7-8 hrs a day) Other notes: UK based so some monitors e.g. Innocn 27m2v are not available Current thinking: LG Ultragear 27GR39U-B Computex was just on, and there wasn't really much announced that meets this spec, while it was on LG quietly announced the 27GR93U-B. A lot of buying guides recommend it's predecessor - the discontinued LG 27GP950-B. I've been informed LG usually has pretty good build quality? I'll be using this for many years, daily for 10+ hrs - I want something that will last. Cooler master Tempest GP27U I've seen good reviews of this (Rtings), and understand it had firmware issues at release, which are now addressed. But there appears to be an ongoing flicker issues? Though I can avoid that through disabling the combination of HDR and Adaptive Refresh Rate? I'm leaning towards it, but not really sure about it given the "beta like" nature of the product described on other sites, and not sure about the longevity of a cooler master monitor.
  2. Aye; I have seen extensions like it before; I'll be careful if i do it though and make it unofficial if i do it
  3. I'm a long time viewer and reader of forums, but only just signed up for an account today and I'm developing chrome and firefox extensions to "auto-tag" people's amazon and potentially thinkgeek sessions so that the Linus Media Group affiliate codes get used without even having to find their bookmark. for example: Bob visits amazon.com to order a new CPU; he searches through and finds his item. Bob wants to support Linus Media Group with his purchases, Bob has my chrome extension installed, so that Bob doesn't even have to think about tagging his session; it's automatically tagged by the chrome extension; Linus Media group get their cut and the viewer isn't even slightly inconvenienced. The Amazon Italy link appears to be going to .es? And if you get the thinkgeek affiliate sorted i can sort it out in the extension; I'm currently testing out the chrome extension, will move onto the firefox extension when i get done on chrome. The extension can potentially be expanded to work with any affiliate.
