  1. Aren't you just forgetting to remove the PCIe-coverslots from the case?
  2. Hey Guys, I'm kind of on a budget at the moment and for my new rig I have to make the following choice: Ryzen 5 3600 + RTX 2070 Super Ryzen 7 3700X + RX 5700 XT Combined they are similar priced. I would like to start streaming at some point. Is there a compelling reason to choose the lesser GPU for a better CPU?
  3. So I wanted to make my own Chairmaster (patent not pending), because I'm cheap. Simple as that. I'm gonna use the Chairmaster (patent not pending) on the Poäng Ikea-chair. So I've drawn some simple Sketchup-design for myself: Got wood? After putting to together with my dad, this is the first result: So we've altered the inside a bit to be sturdier. The large board is 90x40cm. Why is that? I'm still thinking about painting the thing glossy white. Need to get an USB-extention cable tomorrow. I've already got the USB-hub and some parts to make the cables look nice.
  4. Try using Revo Uninstaller to properly uninstall Java first. There is also a Java Uninstaller Tools from Oracle themself: https://www.java.com/en/download/uninstalltool.jsp
  5. Does it show up in Device Manager? It's under Security Device or System if I'm not mistaken.
  6. Just copy your complete userprofile C:\users\<username>. I should zip it first before uploading and maybe delete some folders in the Appdata-folders that you don't need (old programs) and the Temp-folder and Windows Search.
  7. Get the manage bitlocker screen up. It should have TPM Administration on there. If it's not there open mmc.exe as admin (right-click, run as) even if you're admin. Add snap-in and look for TPM. Did it work before?
  8. You could always do a reset of Windows. That's an option in Win10 that restores it back to default Windows but with keeping your files.
  9. I've been using a smaller one (mouse only) for a couple of years now without problems. Didn't know about the problems these things can have. Thanks!
  10. Scoured the internet for this, but no luck so far. I've been looking into making my own Couchmaster. The Nerdytech Coachmaster Lapboard is around 100 euro. The SteelSeries QcK Edge is around 32 euro. I don't think it will take me to much effort to make something around that (USB-hub and some wood). Anybody here made something like this before?
  11. Thanks guys! Will be looking into a gfx-card! Maybe just look for a second hand 1080ti or something. The 4790k is still doing around 140euro here in the Netherlands, while the ryzen 5 3600 is around 200euro, so I don't I'll be upgrading in that area. Edit: second hand 1080ti's are still pricy. Gonna look into the RX 5700 (XT). Air-cooled first. Maybe reference.
  12. Hey Guys, Still rocking an Intel i5-4670k with a GTX 780 and 8gig of cheap DDR3 memory. Is it worth upgrading to a newer graphics card or is it really time to "scrap" the old gal and start from scratch? Want to play some newer AAA-games with some better fps/quality. Playing on a 1440p screen (Dell U2515H) and sometimes even on my 50" 4k Sony TV.
  13. The idea is to way for the new generation of videocards, so I got some time. i7 4790k could be a good solution, as I'm running an ASUS ROG Gene VII board, which cost a lot. My hardware is 5 years old in december, so I'm kinda doing the same as @ZeouLs.
  14. Hey Guys, It's been a while since I've been here. I've got a question for y'all (like the cool kids say): Currently running an Intel i5-4670k @ 4.4Ghz and an old GTX 780. Planning on waiting on the glorious reveals from Nvidia (OMG 5% performance for only 4% more money) and AMD (Almost getting to the GTX 1080ti perfomance for GTX 1080 money), but already thinking about a systemupgrade. I'm wondering if my current i5 is still capable, or will it be bottlenecking. I'm running games on a Dell U2515H, which runs at 1440p@60Hz. Will the i5 still be enough, or should I go for something newer?
  15. On top of that you should run Antibytes, so it can remove any leftover malware/files.
  16. So I've got a new mobo and it posts! Only problem is is that my X6 1055t doesn't cool down. When I boot the PC temps skyrockets to 70+ degrees celsius. I've tried it with an Corsair H80i and even had it without any cooling whatsoever. Does this mean the CPU is failing or am I doing something wrong here?
  17. My thoughts too. Gonna look for a second hand mobo.
  18. Hey Guys, Just fired up the old AMD-pc (after installing a Corsair H80i). Got image first, but I think I might switched the pump and the fan headers, so the PC just turned off. I thought it was due to heatprotection. After waiting half an hour, still no luck. Can't get any post. Removed the gfx-card and tried mobo-gfx but still nothing. Removed the CPU, but still no post. Swapped memory, still no luck. So I think the mobo has died, but it could also be the CPU right?
  19. Anybody got a better idea for cooling than this?
  20. @Lord_Karango17 I agree with you, but I'm gonna hang this on the correct height for legs and arms. That's why there is a cut out at the bottom for my knees @arvark There is a 3d warehouse in Sketchup which contains a lot of pc related stuff, no additional cost
  21. Hey Guys, So after building this black/red Obsidian 350D I'm going to start with a new project, which is gonna take some months due to the lack of funds. I'm gonna build myself a pcdesk, computerdesk, computer in desk whatever you wanna call it. Ofcourse it's going to be heavily influenced by the desks made by L3p, because well...he made the ultimate desk. If you guys don't know him, go check his work out here. This is also going to be the first time I'll be using Google Sketchup, so that's going to be fun and noobish. But here's the thing: I need help! I'm still trying to figure out the layout for the components and maybe even size (although I'm kinda restricted, would even like it to be smaller). So here are the first pics straight out of Sketchup: It will propably be a hanging desk, so without any feet. So please feel free to ask any questions or give me some good advice, cause I'm kinda sorta somewhat at a loss sometimes.
  22. Front or back? Lol yeah you were right! Besides the low temps, I'm really pleased with the noise level. Can run my pump on 40% for these temps, and it's very quiete. Will be working on my shroud next weekend.
  23. Thanks! I think I spend under 500 euro's for my watercooling. It would have been less if my first pump didn't die. Sure I would have like to invest more with hard piping and stuff, but that might be a future project (someday). Thanks mate!
  24. So I've been busy with work, but took this pictures about a week ago. My build is almost done, but had two little bumps along the road. One of the problems will be explained on the last picture of this serie. The other one: There is no room left for my 3,5" HDD, so I'll have to figure out a way to access my storage (NAS in a Sega Mega Drive II with the gamecases as HDD-cages?). Here are the pictures: New CPU-block, I think she's pretty... So I bought my reservoir/pump-combo and already read that it would fit the Obsidian without some mods. So I went full ghetto: But now she fits: Couldn't fit my SSD somewhere either, no time for some velcro: SSD installed on the back and some cablemanagement: Everything tidy at the front: So, time to install my homemade shroud, o no wait... It snapped during install Need to make a new one, luckily still got the buildingplans. Will make it soon, so I can really finish it. I've already posted above this post my temps and normal running speed. I'm really happy with the look as it is. Haven't hit above 50degrees really (after an hour of playing BF4 on max with 100+ FPS). Will post soon again!
  25. Hey Guys, Recently I've watercooling my ASUS GTX 780 and tried some overclocking. I've used a manual from hardocp.com and used their settings. My GTX 780 has a GPU Boost Clock of 1145MHz, which makes the GPU Boost faster than of the GTX 780i. My temps are on full load in the low 50 degrees ©. Can I damage my GPU much with these settings? I've configures the Power Target % on 100% and not 110% as stated in the hardocp-article. Settings below (but changed Power Target to 100%): What are your opinions about doing this and does this really make my Asus GTX 780 faster than (for example) the Asus GTX 780ti? From what I can tell, I've got higher boost, but the 780ti has faster memory.
