    PLEASE HELP ME GUYS UPDATE: After working out an osd my in game cpu usage is sitting at 65 and my gpu at 35 each. Any ideas what could cause this?

    Less than 60 celcius I have an h100. My room is hot and it can get to 60 during gaming though. I will try that speedfan thing. V sync is off. I have avast and have scanned. That's all I know how to do. I have not had a virus (to my knowledge of course) since I started using computers.

    I switched to windows 8 in the first place because in 7 I had uncontrollable, horrid stutter in bf4. Switching fixed it immediately. I will check to see the gpu usage in the benchmark. _._ I wish that I had not tried that a million times by now lol.

    I just did that and the results are the same. I'm still getting 60 percent gpu usage in many parts of maps and dropping to 48 fps etc. It is reproducible depending on where I stand in the map and what map it is. Very weird On a side note, why did you say "unless you have a korean monitor" before? Again, I do have one. Why does that matter? I am very curious. Edit: I was just testing borderlands again, and I don't know if it was because I was in singleplayer as opposed to having 3 other people with me or what (i don't think it would make that big of a difference) but my average fps was way up from what it was. Still nowhere near acceptable. But playable. I was not in a big fight or any combat whatsoever either though. We'll see how that goes later. I was in the town at the very beggingin of the game with the guy with the big glasses and was averaging well above 60. However when I go up to the tall hill place where you look down on the town for the first time at the start of the game i get 50 fps and my gpu usage is really low. My cpu usage was not maxed out either. If I turn the other way and just look at a rock my fps shoots up to 260. Really weird. It is also worth mentioning that I keep hearing what sounds like coil wine now when my fps goes above 60 or so and that did not happen before. Additionally, while testing my screen froze, not going black but keeping the image it was on, and I had to press the freaking power button AGAIN. Getting really tired of that. It is not good for the pc. Must have done it over 10 times in the last week.

    What is DDU? And yah it's not capped at 60 which still would not explain 19 fps. Edit: Display driver uninstaller; google is a friend

    No. It seems to be doing the same thing. I have not gotten to do borderlands as my friends are not yet available but in battlefield 4 there are many parts in the map where i will just be standing still no action or anything and get 48 fps and i'll look and my gpu is like 49 usage and my cpu is 85 percent. Along those lines.

    I just changed it to high performance after your comment. I believe as well as many others that 850 is plenty.

    I do have a korean monitor. What does this have to do with it? Are they known for causing these issues? Tried it. Didn't help. I got about 10 fps less on average. The game is unplayable. It dropped to 19 fps at one point yesterday.

    I just crashed in Timeshift, a 7 or so year old game.

    So I just tried out battlefield 4 and I also drop below 60 fps often with my gpu usage seeming to be at around 50 to 60 percent when this happens. Any ideas? Edit: On the valley I got a score of 3754 with a min and max of 29.6 and 135.4 and an avg fps of 89.7.

    I will test with Uningine later tonight. I will not be posting again until tomorrow because I do not have time to do significant enough testing until then but for now this is what I have for you aside from what I have posted before. Previously I have had weird issues with many games but the electrical infrastructure in the house I used to live in was so bad it regularly broke electronics so everything before my recent move is in my mind another matter. However, at this very moment the only other game I could test due to not having many installed is titanfall. This used to run below 60 at minimum settings too which of course makes no sense. However I will attribute that to my old house as atm it is running with 16x csaa and ultra textures and all the rest maxed out staying at 59 without exception. I will let you know tmrw thanks for your help so far.
