  1. Unfortunately not, I sold my previous one to afford the one I have now. The thing that puzzles me now is that everything powers on as normal, even the RGB on the graphics card. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what the exact problem is. I'm wondering if replacing the PSU would fix it?
  2. The power supply still worked, and showed no signs of failing at that point, and hadn't even really received particularly intense usage and a lot of advice I read online said that it wasn't particularly necessary to upgrade if it was a high quality power supply which it was. As well, I've used it consistently for the last 6-8 months with no issues whatsoever. I've combed over the manual and website, and the LED that shows is for the VGA, i.e the graphics card. There's tiny writing that I didn't see under the LED's that indicates which each one is for. I don't have other means of testing the GPU if it's faulty though
  3. Unfortunately, I don't have another computer to test it on, and the ryzen 5 3600 has no onboard graphics, so I'm not sure if I cant definitely say that the graphics card is dead. The other thing is that the graphics card still lights up, it just doesn't display.
  4. The LED on the board is showing the VGA one, indicating a problem with the graphics card
  5. I'm happy to be wrong on this, but I feel like the warning LED on the motherboard would have prioritised the CPU warning if there was no CPU?
  6. My PC completely hard crashed and now I have no display. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I was playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided (which is a fairly GPU and CPU heavy game) when the game suddenly hard crashed my computer. No problem I thought, so I restarted using reset button on the case. But now whenever I turn on, there is no display despite everything in the case turning on. The GPU (or at least the RGB does), CPU fan, case fans, motherboard RGB lights, and keyboard lights all power on as normal. I noticed that one of the EZ debug LED's is on, the second one up from the main motherboard power connector, which I think indicates a problem with the GPU according to this on MSI's website but I may have misread this. This puzzles me though since the GPU powers on and has shown no problems apart from some early driver problems back in August last year. These are my specs: Powercolor Red Devil 5700XT (drivers installed were whatever ones were latest in about February) Ryzen 5 3600 16GB DDR4 3200MHz MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon 500W Corsair CX500M (This is about 6 years old) 1TB Samsung 970 Evo I've used this configuration for about 8ish months now, the PSU (and case) was the only key component that was recycled from a previous build since it still worked, bought it in 2014 for my first build. I lived in a different city for uni, but since coming home it's probably been receiving a bit more intense usage over the last month or so for gaming and exams etc. So far I've tried: Resetting the CMOS battery, installing latest BIOS Version using flash bios button, again resetting CMOS battery, removing ram sticks and trying each one individually, using different display ports and using HDMI port, and removing the GPU altogether to see if there's any difference. Nothing has worked so far. My main inclination would be to believe that this is a power supply problem. Would I be right in thinking this, or is this actually a problem with the GPU?

  8. Good for gaming? Not sure I like the bezel if I was being super picky
  9. So I'm in a bit of a unique situation in regards to my current set up for gaming, and I'm looking for some advice regarding upgrading my current monitor. I've had my current monitor since 2012 (http://www.lg.com/hk_en/monitor/lg-D2343P-home) and it's served me well as a 1080p IPS display. But I recently upgraded my PC and upgraded my PS4 to PS4 Pro, and have been looking for a better monitor since I use both on the same setup. But I really can't decide what direction to go in. Since one of the Pro's main features is 4K content, I decided to have a look at 4K monitors in various places, and honestly, I'm not particularly impressed with any of the ones that are affordable (£300-400), mainly because in my opinion, they represent pretty poor value when compared to their TV counterparts, which offer much bigger screen sizes and HDR (which I would personally love to see) along with better screens for the same prices. Additionally, most of them seem to have TN panels, which I admittedly don't particularly want. I considered 1440p monitors, but apparently, the general consensus across the board is that 1080p on 1440p looks dreadful (since the Pro doesn't support 1440p). The other option I've toyed around with is 144Hz monitors, but I've never actually seen 144hz in motion before so I really don't know if it would be worth spending the money on it. Also, it should be worth noting that I don't play games competitively, I mainly play single player games with the odd game of battlefield 1 or titanfall 2 every now and again. I was just wondering about you guys think, and if there is something I am missing or not considering. Should I wait until 4K monitors get cheaper again or offer better specs? I apologise if I'm a bit of a noob at this. Thanks for your time.
  10. Hey guys. I've been on the prowl for a new processor recently, and was wondering if an i5 6500 for 120 euro (approx. same in dollars) was worth it. I was actually saving for a ryzen 5 1600 which would cost me about €200, but happened to see this on a used marketplace from a seller with good feedback. If I was using it for mainly games (and copious amounts of Excel spreadsheets), would saving for a while longer for a ryzen 5 be worth it or nah? Bearing in mind, an upgrade for me would require a new motherboard and ram, which I do know the motherboard would be cheaper if I bought the i5 processor. The only reason I'm hesitant is because I feel like the ryzen would age better and have better longevity since it's a newer chip with more cores and threads. But I'm not really sure. I'm humbly apologise for being a noob at this, since I haven't upgraded since 2014. Thanks for your time
  11. You helped me build my first PC earlier last year and managed to get me through college with the money I saved! You're awesome, and thank you very much for the time you spend on this Wish you the best with your future
  12. Well, about 70-100 euro, give or take, it's about the same price conversion to dollars unfortunately.
