I'm assuming that it is supposed to reel itself in via motor loader (though just about every slim disc drive I have used was manual). The motor may be broken, but the drive itself should still work if you move the disc tray manually, or something else is amiss. Laptop disc drives are actually relatively cheap if you want a new one.

can't say I've ever heard that line...

I would use partition managing software like partition wizard or partition master to do copies like that

Notable variabilities in sound are contingent on numerous things, like the file being played, to the software decoder, to the DAC converting the digital source to analog audio, to the amplifier, well, amplifying the sound, to the cans reproducing the audio signal to physical waves on your noggin. While I haven't used HD650's myself, if they are like any reputable German headphones, then they are built to be cold and accurate. This clinical sound is great for older tunes and orchestral music and the like because of enhanced clarity, but lack the drive of more "flavoured" sounds that you might get from other brands. And modern music, in my opinion, is meant to be more flavorful. Many, like myself, have experienced what you are talking about, and have taken to trying out different headphones, amps, and DACs to find the right sound for them, thus creating a market for high-end audio

Need help finding a replacement power supply
ESPclipse replied to roboplex22's topic in Power Supplies
Let us know what you think of it. I have had a number of Corsair PSUs, all of which were DOA and I had to have replaced. A working Corsair power supply is a good power supply, don't get me wrong, but if there is no price difference, EVGA is the superior choice here IMO. -
Small fans whine loud, and stock coolers are pretty cheaply manufactured now Buy an aftermarket heatsink

Need help finding a replacement power supply

EVGA is probably a bit more reliable 500 will be enough for your system (assuming no watercooling or exotic things) -
I have that exact PSU - first one was DOA but the second is good

speccy for sure. offers a lot of system info

Nope, if I'm not mistaken at least, a MAC address is unique to the device and cannot be "changed". If you want to spoof it, that is another story and you should google around about that

That little headphone amp will not "power" speakers though - it isn't powerful enough. Unless the speakers you use are already amplified, you will need a speaker amplifier. If you are just using prototypical desktop speakers or something of the like, then you can use the FiiO E10K as a line-out DAC (just no amplifier) as Vacsol suggests. All of this being said, there are ways to set up your audio setup so you do not have to unplug anything to change audio sources. I know because I switch between two DACs and onboard audio regularly, all without unplugging anything. This will, unfortunately, involve using a new audio source (i.e. the FiiO E10K or any other DAC), so if you are hell-bent on upgrading to a DAC-amp combo, go ahead. If you are using a version of Windows > Windows XP, you can select an audio source via the "Sound" program menu native to Windows. From here, you can set a audio device, which is key to the setup. Plug the speakers in to an onboard audio line out, and set this line out to be the default audio source in the Sound menu. Then plug in a new audio source (DAC), install drivers and so on, and the DAC will appear as a new audio source. If you want sound from the E10K for headphones, just open the Sound menu and set it as the default audio source and you will then get sound from it, without unplugging anything. In short, all you have to do is switch between audio sources in the Sound menu by setting the default sound source to the device you want to listen to. At least this is what I do. Hope it helps

Yeah, the intro is super laggy for me as well on an overclocked 8350, but the game runs pretty damn well other than that

I guess you can run memtest for a couple of hours, but I doubt that finds anything. Good luck, keep digging around for fixes
