  1. Thanks guys for the help, ill check out my waterblock to make sure i haven't re assembled it wrong and will also check the rad, thermal paste and the air stuck in the block.
  2. Hey guys, So i wanted to get my computer watercooled a while back and so i bought my self a rs240 xspc raystorm kit just to get me started in to watercooling. Didn't want any aio nonsense When i first had it installed, idle temps were awesomely low, around 30 degrees, which was a lot better than my previous aircooler. Now after about a month or so i noticed the water had a off colour so i decided just to empty and refill the system. I decided to open up the waterblock to see if there was any gunk in it and there was some but nothing too crazy. I closed the block back up and re filled the system, everything worked fine. After that day i think is when the temps started to increase. I at first thought it was the amount of thermal paste i put on but after re applying a pea sized amount multiple times, i kinda ruled that out. Right now the idle temps are 36-38 degrees and Load temps are 55-56 degrees. My previous load temps were around 45 degrees. I havent measured my ambient temperature but its definately not a 10 degree increase to cause my normal temps to rise so high. Are these temps normal for anyone else with the waterblock? Did i re assemble my waterblock wrong? My cpu is a amd 1090t at 4.02 ghz at 1.485v (REALLY need to upgrade) and i use arctic silver 5 as my tim. Thanks guys!
  3. Can't thank you enough buddy, fixed my problem completely, Thank you so much!
  4. By doing that would that get rid of my overclock? i also found another problem with my harddrive so ill do it asap
  5. so recently i decided to clean my watercooling loop, all went well but a bit of water dripped down the motherboard. I dryed everything out and made sure there was no water so i decided to boot my computer up Everything was fine, games worked fine. No problems until i decided to shut down my computer. I clicked shut down and everything closed and proceeded to shut down but as soon as it does shuts down it turns back on again straight after. Tried holding down the power button on my case but same thing happened. Turned off then straight away turned on again. Was it possible that the water shorted something to cause it? if so im assuming the only way to fix it is by buying a new motherboard thanks
  6. @Marius i smelt the water it has a distinctive/potent plasticy smell :S kinda smells like new pc hardware @airdeano, all the parts are new, i will have have a check, I opened up my waterblock, theres a slight build up crap thanks for the quick responses guys :D
  7. So a few weeks ago i decided to just see how the water is in my loop. I put a torch through the front of my bay res to find a red tinge to the water. I checked my tubing to see if there was any gunk and there wasn't. Then today, i decided to empty my loop and see how the water is and this is what it looks like: I do use a primochill antimicrobial silver coil which looks like this when i took it out: As you can see there is a slight discolouration I use de-ionized water with that killcoil. Its a cpu only loop (xspc raystorm750) and Primochill primoflex lrt tubing Any ideas on what this is exactly? and whats causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks guys
