  1. IDK, I kind of like the look of the 598. But I guess its a love hate thing for that color scheme.
  2. The removable cable was my one concern however the headphones are for home use only and I tend to take good care of my stuff so I would hope they'll be okay.
  3. So the K612 would definitely be the way to go? Also @xtroria said I could find the K7XX on head-f(I'm guessing under the buy sell section), but i can't find a single person selling them.
  4. When you say K7xx are you talking the massdrop exclusive or K701, K702....
  5. Yeah, Noctua fans definitely don't fit many color schemes. But thanks for the suggestion.
  6. I like the look of the HD598 but I guess it's a love or hate it color scheme. I've been looking for about 2 weeks now but I won't actually be able to get them until my birthday. So the K7xx were not an option unfortunately.
  7. So I have narrowed my choices down to theses 2 headphones. So I have 2 questions. Are the K612 better then the HD598? I've head the HD598 are loose and don't have much bass. While the K612 are cheaper then the HD598, if I went for the K612 I would have to get a amp(fiio E10k) which would put the total at $204 compared to the $150 of the HD598, so are the K612 worth spending the extra $50?
  8. To me they look almost identical.
  9. So I'm needing a new pair of open-back headphones. I'm looking at a budget of around $150. I've been looking at HD598, DT990, or AKG K612. But for the K612 and DT990(and DT990 are a bit pricey) I would need an amp, so if I did go this route is there a good CHEAP amp that would support them? From what I've heard the HD558 are very similar in sound to the HD598, so would the 598 be worth the extra $35? The headphones would be used for music, gaming, watching twitch/youtube, etc. Another question is, is ebay a reliable source? I've heard mixed things.
  10. That's way past my budget. I'm looking under $100, maybe less. CHC Silverado. Soon to be upgrading to either Sennheiser HD598, DT990, or AKG K612 There seems to be some slight background static. Volume seems to be okay for now but I may be getting headphones with a higher impedance sometime soon.
  11. So I'm looking for a good inexpensive dac and amp combo. I'm currently using onboard audio and I don't think I'm getting the full potential out of my headphones.
  12. I feel like I could easily ajust to the size. And I had no intentions on getting the edge.
  13. So I finally saved enough money to upgrade. I've been looking at the S6 but the more I look at the note the more it becomes appealing. The 2 phones seem pretty similar except design and obviously size. The camera doesn't really concern me. Just curious to know others opinions.
  14. Would they bother someone on let's say a plane?
