  1. Good thing I already have a dedicated physx card with my AMDs : P
  2. I bought a morse code switch at an antique shop and attached the two wires to where the power button would be and put the switch next to my keyboard. It was pretty cool but then I didnt feel like managing other wires coming out of my case...so now im just a modern push button, but it was cool.
  3. Yes, use RomTerraria and set your resolution with it. It works great. http://www.romsteady.net/rtinstall/publish.htm
  4. So, I was looking at random preorder stuff on newegg...cause I'm weird like that and saw this. And it looked a little familiar! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16879213049
  5. If you are still over clocking and want to change the voltages for a higher over clock. I used this for my 7950 and it worked great. Just remember to set the core and memory voltage. I forgot to set my memory voltage the first time, at least I didn't apply the setting on boot XD. Anyways, you can try setting the settings to what Linus does in his benchmarking videos, here is the graph. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmLKAgEko3SAdHFtby1jNTFvaTF2UHhaMzdMQ0FNM2c#gid=0
  6. Thank you for your input, maybe i'll do a review on this item since I dont see many around : P
  7. Yeah, It would be more stuff in my small case. But if it works and is less money than buying a new power supply I think I would like that option. Because 600wat main supply+450watt supple supply= 1050watts in total, right?
  8. So do you think it would work, or should I just wait?
  9. Why would I throw it out, it's a great card and I use it to connect my s-video tv up to my computer, I also use it for physx, cause...why not : P I think the supplement power supply I was looking at connects to the main with a molex connector. But I dont know how well that works. I could probably get a 1000watt power supply for a little more, does anyone have a suggestion for a good power supply, If I wait a little longer maybe I could spend around $130 for a power supply.
  10. Its a thermaltake, and I am trying to run two cards off of it, and maybe plan to install a third. And the computer does shut down whenever I set a game to high with just the 7950oc, it buzzes loudly and then shuts down. On my previous power supply which was 750watts, it was fine running both the 7950 and 9800 with high settings. I also run 3 monitors.
  11. So my power supply that i was using to power my system died out sadly, and I had to revert to a backup which is 600watts. I have a HD 7950 and a 9800GTX+ in my machine and 600watts its not really enough to power them both. It buzzes a lot so I had to take out the 9800 and un-OC the 7950. I was looking around for a new power supply, maybe around 1000watts, and I found this 450watt supplemental power supply( http://amzn.to/17faIEv ). Efficiency doesnt really matter to me since I don't pay the electric bill and to me a 600watt+450watt=1050watts. So I could power the 9800 off the main power supply and the 7950 off the supplement. I have never run dual power supplies before let alone a configuration like this and was wondering if it was worth the money really. I only have around $80 to spend, not much more. Would this work and be a good buy, or should I wait a couple months and save my money...I really want to start using my computer without it buzzing.
  12. I found placement of fans in the case makes a difference sometimes. For my case i have one fan in front, one on top, one on side, one on the bottom, and one in the back. the bottom, front, and side are intakes while the rest are outflows. In my opinion, placement is key.
  13. 8-18mbps, my friends get mad at me when my games install faster than we can all play them.
  14. So, I have this old thing. If only I had something to put it in still...
  15. Hello there. I call myself Flim Shady. I play lots of games on the steams and I have all the valve titles and such...mostly because my wallet hates me. I rarely play Dota2. But I will play anything really as long as I have it. Now, I know what your thinking. "But Flim! What games do you have!" A lot...not to much because I do know people who have more, but I am also that guy that will buy the game just so the other person will have someone to play with. I am just nice like that. I am also a talker...listener...and all around gamer! This is my eLinus profile...I hope someones interested! http://steamcommunity.com/id/oldfashionedcider
