  1. Hi, I am a website developer and I am working on a site. Everytime the site is updated and I try to access it after the update the site will not display. What is worse is that somehow it affects the entire network including phones connected to the network via Wifi. The only solution to get it to display properly with updates is to dismiss it from the Firefox "top sites list" . Then load the site again. Clearing cache doesn't always do the trick. And what is weird is that you can see the changes to the website in the icon for it in Top Sites but it won't load without an error message and the message that it is trying to connect to the server where the site is hosted. This doesn't happen with any other websites that update including another site that I work on. To clear it from the network you have to do the ipconfig /flush dns and other cmd commands. I don't know why this is happening or how to prevent it. This issue affects all my browsers including Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. I'm attaching what I get when I update the site and then trying to load it before dismissing the "Top Sites"
  2. I think I've fixed it. Tried connecting the computer directly to the modem rebooted modem and computer. Then Windows shows connected to internet. Then connected modem to router, router to computer. Reboot both modem and router. Computer shows connected. Not exactly sure why other than Windows not recognizing the network from the router and now the network has been reconfigured with Windows. Thanks for everyone's help though.
  3. Yes. Multiple times. Have even reset the modem and router a few times.
  4. It seems to be the current one. I removed the network device in Device Manager that referred to my previous router. It seems there was a Windows Update of sorts on Tuesday as there is a System Restore point automatically created.
  5. Hi all, I installed a new router and now Windows 10 is showing a yellow exclamation mark in the system tray showing no internet. I've tried just about everything resetting DNS changing settings in the properties of the NIC. Driver is current. I do have internet access but can't find a fix to this error. The only thing I thought it was that it was due to having a previous Linksys connect program that setup my previous router and Windows is using a ghost network. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. My Acer Predator X34 just shipped today and I'm excited. Tempered with hoping for no defects as read about.
  7. For those interested. From posts on overclock.net. https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1523841-1-1.html (in chinese, use google translate) YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDO4DtNdGvM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2-p9HlJqUw The base is plastic and must be attached to panel.
  8. New images and un boxing of pg348q https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1523841-1-1.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2-p9HlJqUw
  9. Far as I know just the pg348q. It turns out it may have some of the same issues as the x34 like overclocking to 100hz. Also It has been revealed that the base of the pg348q is plastic and you must attach it to the panel. The x34 is metal and comes pre-attached.
  10. $900 is pretty cheap. Are you sure that you are looking at the g-sync version. The free sync sounds about right for $900. G-sync is looking around $1200.
  11. I went with the ACER and am awaiting its arrival. There have been issues but ACER has fixed the 2 major ones. Who knows what issues ASUS has. Also was able to get the ACER for $1179 with $42 shipping from Provantage.com. I expect the ASUS to be more expensive and even harder to get.
  12. I'm sorry it was Joker Productions not sloppy. You can see the bottleneck.
  13. I would go for the i7. It has been shown recently even with Fallout 4 that more threads help immensely. Check out Sloppywetblow on YouTube for his video on FO4 bench marking that illustrates how much better the i7 does than his i5.
  14. Not true. I linked those forum threads on the Acer x34. I have been following them for 2 months now and was the reason I posted them for the OP. Yes I know it was recalled both for blue banding and the wake from sleep issue. I don't buy anything until I know everything about it. However it seems Acer has fixed the WFS and banding issues and the one outstanding issue is the scan line issue which some people have and some people don't. Seems to be a mixed bag between ACER and ASUS. The ASUS may just be a paper launch in Jan and who knows when we will get it. I've posted back to Metros who seems to have some contact with JJ but it's anybody's guess as to when it will actually arrive and for what price. If I don't get a good x34 on the first and or second try then I'll go for the ASUS. I've just been waiting and watching for so long I just want to finally buy one of these (Acer or ASUS). I've also followed the ROG pg279q and the ACER xb271hu and of those two would choose the ACER because of the better way Acer secures the panel there is less chance of backlight bleed over the Asus.
  15. The thing I'm counting on is using the Chrome widescreen fix extension/add on. TV's are getting so cheap I might buy one just for Netflix streaming.
