  1. Hello all. Recently i have upgraded to a tri monitor setup. This setup consists of a 1080p monitor plugged into my GPU via DVI, and a 1080p monitor plugged in via HDMI to my motherboard and a 1280x1024 monitor via VGA to my motherboard. I have a few issues with these monitors which are mainly tied to the monitor's turning off after x ammount of time and sleep mode. if my displays turn off after i wake them back up my chrome window is all white, this issue is minor and is resolved with just scrolling around the white window. Another issue is that my monitors will turn off and after i turn them back on they are all black but on. If i press Ctrl+Alt+Delete the monitors plugged into the motherboard light up orange but my main monitor stays black. If i unplug my main monitor i can open the task manager on one of the secondary monitors and then replug my main monitor back in and regain regular use of my PC. Another issue that i have seemed to resolve though disabling sleep altogether is that i would be doing a malywarebytes scan and if my PC were to go to sleep during the scan when i would wake up my PC the screen would be black but i could see my cursor. the only way to resolve this issue is to reset my PC via the reset switch.
  2. Ok then i will probablly go with the 247 then. I dont think im ready to make the jump to 1440p or 120hz nor do i think that would be optimal for my hardware and the games i play
  3. Well that VS247H-P looks promising. How do you think that compares to a slightly cheaper Asus VS228H-P?
  4. Hello all, With my ISP i was given a "all in one" router/modem and i wanted to get opinions on how good it is compared to other routers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825122014
  5. I'm not sure since I haven't ever experienced any monitor over 60hz monitor. Though I don't have any intention of upgrading any of my specs anytime soon so I don't know about getting a 120hz or anything because it might be difficult to maintain 120 FPS at all times and it may be different for higher framerates but when playing at 60 and if I were to drop to 50's would feel atrocious. For instance if I play BF4 without vsync I get 90-120 FPS usually but I would think that would feel weird going all over the place. If you have any knowledge that I'm lacking please Inform me. I don't really have a preference in brand since I haven't used any monitors from the big brands of today, though for most other pieces of hardware I prefer asus
  6. Hello all, back in december i built my first gaming PC and since then i have been my vizio 22" 1080p as my main monitor for gaming and the such and using a old generic 1280x1024 monitor for browsing the web. Now as of recently i want to upgrade but im stumped on what to get. Since what performance im able to achieve will probably be a big factor of what monitor would suit me so my basic specs are as follows: i5 4670k 8GB RAM Asus R9 280x Any suggestions, im hoping to be in the 200$ range or so, but if the price is right for a superior product i could wait a little longer i would also like to add i would be buying the monitor from amazon
  7. Around 30-35$ though if there is something that justifies a higher price i can wait a bit
  8. My score was a 5.9 but i smell BS. I got a 5.9 in the "disk" category, but i have a samsung 840 evo. I got a 8 in CPU, 8.6 in D3D, 8.6 in Graphics, and 8 in memory
  9. ok cool. Any suggestion on 120mm fans?
  10. 9.5/10 My specs: I5 4670k 8GB 1600mhz RAM Asus Z87-A Asus R9 280X Samsung 840 evo 250gb WD 1TB HDD CX600 Antec 302
  11. Hello all. A few months ago I built my first PC and I used a antec 302 as my case. The case comes with a 140mm fan mounted on the top-back and a 120mm mounted on the back, there are slots for 2 120mm fans at the front along with positions on the side (though I think those are fairly irrelevant) I was thinking of getting 2 120mm fans for the front but it appears, according to the newegg page, that my mobo, the z87-a only has 3 fan headers so how would I go upon getting 2 more fans in the case?
  12. I second this, I would go as far to say SR2 is a contender for the worst port in the last 10 years
