It only happens in CS:GO, and goes away after a restart. Doesn't happen in the Witcher 3 or any other games.

I've heard from many people who have similar taste in audio as me that the K10 sound a fair amount better. I'm also getting the K10 universals instead of customs because I'm 16 and John (The Wizard from Noble) who is an audiologist told me I'll probably need one or two remolds by the time I'm 18 and my ear canals have stopped growing. Each remold is $250, so I could just sell the universals when I reach that age to buy some customs and lose less money than I would with the two remolds. It also has to do with the companies as Noble has some of the best customer support and quality I've ever seen, and I seem to remember JH recently suing 1964 Ears over something trivial like the way they described their drivers instead of asking them to change it. I'd much rather support Noble even if the K10s are more expensive for not a massive improvement.
-
I used the wrong word. I meant more of a slightly analytical sound. I've heard that the K10s sound like they're in between the Audeze LCD-3 and LCD-X, with a little bit of the HD800 thrown in.
-
I'll probably just do the order from Amazon and return it if I don't like it. I've actually become fine with coloring the sound because I'm getting some Noble K10s and an Oppo HA-2, so I can use that as my neutral setup.

If I want to upgrade my amp to a Lyr2 but want to use the ODAC which is part of the O2+ODAC combo, I can just use the analog line out->Lyr, right?

Dafaq is an electrostatic speaker ? how dafaq does it work ?
FatEskimo97 replied to GeneralTheoryOfBadassery's topic in Audio
Damn I want to start getting into speakers but I already spend too much on headphones to afford anything else haha. -
Ok so if I wanted a to upgrade I would look for something with higher voltage?
-
Is there anything like that for Audeze LCD-2?
-
Yea someone once told me something along the lines of: "Even if they're loud enough, they still might not be properly driven and you won't get the fullness you would with more power at the same volume." Thank's for clearing that up. I was confused when he said that and I now know that what he said is false.

So are electrostatic speakers insanely expensive just like their headphone counterparts? -
What is the difference between a 1/4 inch vs. 3.5 mm Jack?
FatEskimo97 replied to Pawin Chang's topic in Audio
It's only the guys with the small jacks that say that -
Ok I won't spend too much extra to go to balanced, then. The reason I want to upgrade is that I've been told although the O2+ODAC do a great job of driving the LCD-2.2F, you want to put at least a watt of power into them to fully drive them.
-
I want to eventually (probably in the summer about the same time I buy my Noble K10) upgrade from my O2+ODAC for my LCD-2 to the Schiit Mjolnir and use balanced XLR output, but I don't have the money to pair that with a Gungnir. Does getting an equivalent DAC make that much of a difference, or could I just pair the Mjolnir with a Modi 2 or Loki and not notice a difference?

Audeze LCD-2 (Fazor) vs Hifiman HE-560 vs Sennheiser HD 800
FatEskimo97 replied to BenTan's topic in Audio
The HE-560 really isn't on the same level as the HD-800 and LCD-2. I love my fazored LCD-2s and can't possibly give a higher recommendation for them. I'd say the LCD-2s sound like real life and are extremely immersive and fun. They sound just like the artist wanted the music to sound, and have great imagery and separation. The bass, mids, and highs are all amazing and don't interfere with each other. All music is just so fun to listen to that I've started listening to many new genes. The HD-800 is also a very good headphone. They're extremely detailed to the point of being pretty analytical, and that's why I went for the LCDs instead. I've seen this said many times: the HD-800s sound like an amazing set of headphones, the LCD-2s sound like real life. -
I'm not currently looking to buy one, but I'm just wondering what the benefits of getting certain cables are. Which types give which different sounds, and what types of cables are there other than silver? Also, what specific (brand) cables would you recommend for each type (for future reference)? I recently got the LCD-2's and have been wondering about this.
