kingvicuus got a reaction from mikeeginger in Royal PC (Royal of the Household)
So after months of being in shambles. I finally got all the parts to finish my build so I can show it off today.
Specification:
Intel I7 3770k @ 4.7ghz
AsRock Z77 WS
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4x4]
Nvidia GTX 770 4gb sli
LSI 8211-8i raid card
Kingston V300 120gb x4
EVGA 750w 80+ Gold
Corsair 760t
Watercooling Parts:
EK Waterblock
360 Top mount EK rad
280 Front mount Alphacool rad
Alphacool vpp655 pump
Frozenq Helix Res
Primochill UV Pearl Purple Tubing
Koolance nx680 Waterblocks
Swifttek male to male G1/4 bridge
So! This is my first full custom water cooled PC, so if you have any tips and tricks please go ahead and tell. Wanted to get that out the way and now on with with explanations!
So on with the immediate changes, I plan on changing the LEDs to cold cathodes because the LEDs are not bright enough and the tubing doesn't react very much.
One thing actually that is troubling... The res has a slight leak but I think I have fixed it with ultra glue and some black tap. Not to noticeable even close up. I haven't decided if I want to drain my loop and RMA it yet.
Actually what I think is the best part of the build is the cable management in the back. In other revisions of my build I would just shove everything back there and not care about the giant bulge. This time I took some time and zipped tied everything and a very pleasing result.
Overall though I'm glad I'm done and don't plan to change any major parts for awhile. I was getting 90-100 fps on Battlefield 4 at ultra preset with a 1440p monitor. However I don't know if this is due to the map I was playing (Only played one match so far).
Anyways thanks for paying attention to my build! I love looking at other peoples builds and hopefully you feel the same way.
Btw what would be a cool name for the build I didn't really think of one. I was thinking of Royal PC. 1). My name being KingVicuus. 2). Best and most powerful within my household. 3). Sounds BA.

Yea but I got them under like 40 per gig. So good performance for cheap.

I really wouldn't, the smaller the pixels the better.

No lol it is actually like the biggest you can buy. I do not like it personally, but to lazy to switch. Also got it with Walmart gift cards and had nothing better to spend them on.

Ever sense I saw a Surround or a Eyefinity a couple years back I wanted one for myself. I'm almost there, but not quite  . Just out of plan curiosity I wanted to see what it was like with two 24" monitors and one 20" because I happen to have a few extras. If anything it makes me want one more now. It's very laughable right now, but it'll get there eventually. Plus I have nothing better to do on a day off.
The Specs Are:
Gigabyte z68-d3h-b3
I7 3770k w/ Noctua d-14
PNY GTX 770 4gb
8gb Mushkin ram
650w CoolMax psu
128gb Samsung Pro SSD
1tb Seagate HDD
500gb Seagate HDD
In a Antec 300? Don't really know... going to be upgrading to a r4 probably.
So here it is! :
My wonderful lootcrate stickers!
I had better cable management in the past but going in and out left it a mess...
The laughable resolution... But remember "Resolution is only a number!"
The reason for being on the floor is no other than I don't have a big enough desk.
My Razer Lycosa and RAT7 nothing to special.
Graphics settings to show the laughable resolution.
Finally it stayed at a steady 65-85 fps which wont change to much when its 5760 x 1080.
In conclusion, REALLY want to finish this now. But anyways this is my "gSurround" test. Not in anyway permanent, just got bored when not working and wanted to share how stupidly bored I can get.
