  1. currently on a 780 thats on its last legs. I went with IPS for a reason; I love my pretty colours. So AMD is currently very interesting. Thanks for the giveaway and have a nice week.
  2. I knew that, however I do not know how far OP's knowledge goes when it comes to installing CPU's. I just wanted to be sure.
  3. But don't forget to put some new paste on! Put a bit of paste the size of an uncooked ricegrain on one of the surfaces, preferably the CPU.
  4. I love the the fact that even though it's waterproof, it's still a proper smartphone, and not something that looks like it is designed to be taken to a warzone. I need one for kayaking, but i have never been able to afford one. My favorite thing about dbrand is their ability to let you compile your own skin, without it looking cheesy, and that they sponsor LTT.
  5. Ok, I will take a look at them, as well as the PSU. Also, what kind of fans are best for the case? Do I need to go for static pressure or airflow?
  6. I can live with the noise. I am not such as much of a soundfreak as Linus. But I do find aesthetics very important, that's why I have this case. And I have heard that full aircooling in this particular case does give some problems. It's really made for watercooling. Sorry, I read that wrong on nzxt's website. I do indeed need something else. The reason I still prefer the G10 is simply because it looks better (I do find this worth the money), and I do not trust myself with making a custom waterloop. IF I go watercooling I on the GPU, then it will not happen soon, so the warranty is not really a factor. In the mean time I prefer the temperatures, quality and looks of Asus. On another note, how much does overclocking increase the powerconsumption?
  7. Cooling the VRAM from the back? Does that work well enough? What would be wrong with AIO watercoolers? Those aircoolers are quite large and I personally find them quite ugly.
  8. Build (I have already done a price-check, and I couldn't use partpicker, because prices tend to differ quite a lot in my country (the Netherlands) : https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4O-X2E-azWcMnJPTFRQSGdBM2M&usp=sharing I am going to use this build for gaming and possibly some CAD (solidworks), but that has no priority, because I have a laptop that can run that too. I do plan on overclocking, that's why I have a 750 W PSU. Partpicker said that i would need 488 W MAX, but as I plan on overclocking, I expect to need more. Would this PSU suffice or would something less powerful (and therefore possibly cheaper) also work? Also, would a Kraken G10 + an H80i fit on this particular GPU? I have heard that its PCB differs so much from the reference design, that watercooling might only be possible if a custom waterblock and waterloop are used. If these parts do fit, how does one connect a CPU cooler to the GPU cooling control circuit? Can I just plug the wire in the connector that was used for the standard cooler? And would the "i" bit be useful for a GPU?
