  1. What would be the steps to this then, just copy it and then copy it back after raid setup?
  2. That's good to hear, I'll just check to see what I actually have on there
  3. It adds the storage too, so 2 1tb 500MB/s ssd's in raid get 2tb at around 1000 MB/s
  4. Hey, I currently have a 1tb ssd for games and stuff but I am out of space so am buying a second one and putting them into a raid 0 array. For obvious reasons I don't want to lose my current data so I have bought a 1tb hdd. My question is how should I make sure I keep all my data, I'm thinking I should clone the ssd to the hdd then restore after the raid array is setup but what do you think?
  5. Hey, im looking for a router to plug into my current router via ethernet and use as an extension. Preferably it'd use same ssid and auto switch but that doesn't matter too much. It only needs a range of 5 meters or so but i wouldn't say no to a higher range of roughly 25 meters as we go to the local pub a fair bit and it'd preferably cost about $50. Oh and it also needs to do ethernet out at the same time but id assume that they all do that.
  6. ok, thats what i was thinking, i just wanted confirmation. Thankyou very much!
  7. Hello, i have very little background in networking but have done one project before so do have a little bit of knowledge. I want to connect my steam link to my pc via ethernet (through power line) and my router doesnt have enough ports so basically if i buy a switch and connect my powerline and steam link to it (as well as my router) will the steam link comunicate with my pc through the ethernet independant of the internet? I dont want the steam link to be using all the bandwidth, this would solve the issue right?
  8. It wasn't directed at you in particular, you just made me realise that
  9. For me March 31st around 5:30pm so not quite April fools
  10. I knew that this wouldnt be considered creditable at all, I just felt obliged to tell other people that are excited for it
  11. I just left the gadget show live where I was talking a vr game dev about graphics cards and i told him that I was going to buy a new gpu soon when he told me to wait because Pascal would be coming next week. He realised that he shouldn't have told me that so did shh sign to me. Later on I was trying get some information from him about polaris but he didn't say anything but he did tell me to wait a week or two then get the r9 I was planning, presumably meaning that polaris won't be coming for a while. He also told me that amd have been making a real push for vr (another dev said the same). The last thing he told me was that he was meeting with nvidea's head of vr in two weeks, presumably a big meeting with other devs.
  12. Hey, iplan on buying either the sm951 or 950 pro but im worried about the thermal throttling so i was wondering if there were any heatsinks that arent a part of an adapter as i would like to use the motherboards m.2 slot
  13. i overclocked my ram a tiny bit just using the base clock
  14. Hello, at the start of next month i am upgrading my cpu/ motherboard and Microsoft considers this to be a "significant" upgrade meaning that it'll have a different "unique ID" and wont be connected to my windows 10 install which means that my copy of windows 10 wont be genuine. I am thinking that the easiest way to get around this would be to reinstall my copy of windows 8.1 with my genuine license and then upgrade to windows 10 again. What are your thoughts?
