Recently they have stated that if your in the UFO area: (York for now) as long as you are currently on a fibre contract with them you can take advantage of these new speeds for FREE. Other sources have said that it will be around £30 a month Sounds too cheap to me!...

SKY and TalkTalk are two major broadband providers in the UK. To get the advantage over the biggest broadband provider; BT, Earlier this year they decided to work together. Starting in my home town of York, they are rolling out '1000Mb' connections by running fibre straight to the household and getting rid of the copper. They have gone by the name UltraFibreOptic and rate speeds of up to 940Mb that have been tested so far “Our preliminary discussions on financing such a scale roll-out have been positive, underscoring our confidence in the opportunity for building an economically viable, alternative and superior fibre infrastructure to that available today,” http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/may/14/talktalk-trial-york-internet-broadband

I had the t3i for years and it got me into photography. For me it was amazing but unless your doing some video the flip screen is unnecessary and its easier to damage. (Note -easier- because its still tough!) http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon-600d-vs-Nikon-D3200 Plus always check snapsort

LG G3 Review and.... TWENTY-FIVE Phone Giveaway?!
TeriyakiTurtle replied to LinusTech's topic in LTT Releases
My favourite thing about that phone? Actually being able to swap out the battery! My HTC one (M7) has a few hours battery life after nearly two years and there is no way to replace it. So Linus... hook a brother up ? -
thats not the vapor card though! the vapor card is still 380 pounds :'(

295x2, 290x crossfire or 780ti sli?
TeriyakiTurtle replied to TeriyakiTurtle's topic in Graphics Cards
AMD's cards seem to really come into play at higher resolutions. Im looking at the LG34um95 reviewed by linus but the input lag is putting me off and 4k isn't justifiable. I might go with a multi-monitor setup in the end... But the benefits of Nvidias technology is making me side with them. I hate the childishness with creating specific technologies for each company and having to decide between them. -
295x2, 290x crossfire or 780ti sli?
TeriyakiTurtle replied to TeriyakiTurtle's topic in Graphics Cards
Im glad you mentioned this! i had forgotten about microstuttering- something i get now with my old radeon card-.- I have wanted to give Nvidia a go. So 780sli will probably be the way forward. Also, by july do you think maxwell or price drops will be introduced? If the titan z falls below 1500 pounds in the UK i might have to grab it... -
295x2, 290x crossfire or 780ti sli?
TeriyakiTurtle replied to TeriyakiTurtle's topic in Graphics Cards
In the benches i have seen the 295X2 'wins' but they haven't OC'ed the 780ti's. so two EVGA superclocked cards would definitely beat the 295x2 right? -
Im building a enthusiast grade PC in july and just wondered what setup would be the most powerful? I will be gaming but also photo/video editing using Adobe. So i need to know whether Nvidia runs better on adobe still? (Running a 3440x1440 monitor)

New 4K Gaming/Editing PC
TeriyakiTurtle replied to TeriyakiTurtle's topic in New Builds and Planning
Thanks, i do like the 760t, and heat is a major problem for me two r290x's pump out alot of heat and even though the 295x2 does it doesnt give out exactly the same amount of heat. I kinda want radeon as i do love mantle as it gives a great boost for 4k as i will be running a AOC U2868Pqu (yay vesa mount) But i dont know :'( in the UK theres not much difference for two 780ti's and a 295x2 but im planning this major pc build and i dont know what to buy GPU-wise anymore :'( -
First major build: CPU- i7 4770k Mobo-z97 sabertooth GPU-R9 295x2 RAM-Corsair dominator platinum 16Gb Cooler-H105 Wifi card, ssd and hdd blah blah..... Now. My question is.. the case. im looking at a 760t but it seems rather flimsy, i want something open to show off What do you think? could i make any improvements?
