  1. Thanks for the input. Up till now i've used a xbox one controller with the wireless adapter. I know it doesn't use bluetooth so it isn't a very good comparison, but i just can't seem to find any numbers on the DS4 latency. Or the numbers are so small that i shouldn't even care... Maybe i'll just shell out for the offical one. Now that i think about it, i can't remember a time i've reeeally needed bluetooth on the desktop
  2. Just got my hands on a Dualshock 4 to use on my PC. Is there any disadvantage to using a "generic" bluetooth dongle instead of the official receiver? Latency or lost features? I already checked out the steam configurator and saw that the touchpad and lights and shit worked but that was over usb. I don't really need those extra frills anyway. I could save a nice 15 gold coins on this and get bluetooth on my desktop instead of just a wireless controller Thanks!
  3. It would fit very nicely in this small room
  4. Well the headphones have been in heavy use over the years, so i guess sweat or general oils from the skin could be considered moisture? I guess my rooms' air is more moist than the rest of the house but it's definitely not a tropical environment in here. The cord or any part of the headphones haven't been in direct contact with liquids ever. I keep my desk water free So, corrosion of copper?
  5. Yeah that's what i came up with by searching a bit, but i have no clue how it would happen on these headphones. Right now i'm thinking i'll just contact where i bought them and see if they can do anything.
  6. It's a bit hard to see inside the headphone end, but it's been there. Also edited OP, there was the same stuff on the other end of the cord hiding under a screw-on 6.3mm adapter. Didn't get inside the usb interface yet, at least from what i can see.
  7. Yup. It's pretty liquid-y. Watered down jelly, if you will.
  8. I'm a bit afraid to plug my headphones back in I just accidentally unplugged my headphones, and saw this bluish green residue on the plug. I can also see that it's definitely inside the headphone 3.5mm socket too. (I have Custom one pros' so the cord is detachable) With a quick googling i only found something about older wiring in houses that can start chewing on the wires and create something like this. So what is this residue, where does it come from, should i not plug them back in like this, and should i contact the store i bought them from? EDIT: Adding that it's also on the other end of the wire. It has a screwed on adapter to 6.3mm and there's some residue at the edge of the plug. Pictures in spoiler:
  9. 390 here. At work now so can't give any real numbers, but last night with some quick testing i get maybe +10fps on the average, and like someone mentioned above, minimum fps dips seem to not be as low as on dx11. I can definitely play way more at over 60fps than before (at 2560x1080).
  10. Dang, didn't even think it from a percentage perspective like that.. Starting to lean towards just getting a 390 and being happy with it. If i start overthinking this further i'll only regret not getting anything
  11. Well, i could easily afford the 980 but what kept me from pressing that confirm order button is would i be paying just a bit too much for what i want. But then again, i would have the peace of mind of not having to worry about my next upgrade for a while. Then again, it's quite a lot of money for someone with no decent/constant income for the next year and a half or so. But those sweet, sweet frames...
  12. Let's just do this. - Currently on a 7870 - Want something that will set me for another 3 years, like i've comfortably been on this 7870. - No monitor upgrade up from 1080p likely. - Don't really care for green/red team choice. - A bit overkill doesn't hurt Some choices and prices where i live: r9 290x bit under 400€ but hard to obtain r9 390 ~410€ gtx 970 ~420€ gtx 980 ~580€ Go!
  13. So for you, it's more about just the look? I feel like when people see the keyboard, they just get the idea to their heads that somehow they can't hit the keys as accurately as they did with the dividing lines. In reality, they don't even watch what they press as much as they think they do. Muscle memory is fascinating...
  14. I see zero reason for it having any difference on typing on a touch keyboard. It's not like it feels any different, has the "skin" of the keyboard lines between letters or not. You touch the letters on screen the exact same way as before. It's all in your head! Someone, just tell me a valid reason on how this would affect typing on the keyboard in ANY way. And yes, i use lollipop and (obviously, judging by this post) personally don't see any reason it should have a difference on typing.
  15. Sorry, the L440 doens't really fit her budget, but thanks for the answer.
