  1. Little jab, Put your glasses on before taking a picture so you can be sure the focus is right. Why can't you return it for RMA? If you want, you can warm up the solder and try to push it through, won't be easy.
  2. Go to device manager and uninstall the driver through that when it is plugged in, then re-install the ds4windows driver
  3. Get out of your head a bit and slow down, these seem like mistakes you can prevent by slowing down and confirming before proceeding. They probably treat it that way because they don't wan't you to have a big error that screws things up big time.
  4. There is no better cpu you can change to from the 7700, if you need more cores, you gotta upgrade motherboard as well.
  5. You can just sign in through Facebook, Twitter, Google, or Yahoo. have you tried doing that instead?
  6. It isn't an error or problem, there is no fix, unless you turn it off. Windows does all sorts of shit in the background. Sometimes that causes spikes, these spikes don't cause any performance issues. just don't worry about it. If you don't like it, disable the card outright when you aren't gaming and use integrated when on the desktop. Quick edit: "Intel i5 7700k" i5 is the 7600k, i7 is the 7700k.
  7. right now GPU will do more than a cpu upgrade. However with an aging i5 you run into, do you want to stick with intel? if so then just wait until 10th gen is released, if not then go with ryzen. GPU can hold you over for a generation especially if you play higher than 1080p, however if you can find a used 4790k for a reasonable price can't hurt to grab one. Any upgrade other than GPU will have you spending a lot since DDR3 is no longer used for the most part so you'll need ram as well as a motherboard for newer cpu's. In the end you just have to do the research and see if the cost if worth it for you.
  8. does it show up under device manager?
  9. I have a masterbox 5, and have a full custom loop, while my reservoir is a tight fit between the GPU, with an AIO that shouldn't be a problem for you. My case is older, but as far as the product pages go for the newer masterbox's they look like they'll have plenty of room. Depending on clearence's you might even be able to top mount exhaust the radiator on the MB520 so you aren't pumping hot air into the 5700XT considering it runs hot from what I've seen so far.
  10. Nvidia likely won't have anything in 2020, 900-1000 was 2014-2016; 1000-2000/1600 was 2016-2018. they're averaging 2ish years between releases with a few specks of lower end releases, since it was the end of 2018 and early 2019, I'd say expect something from nvidia in 2021. AMD might have something else but there is no guarantee that they will release anything higher end.
  11. Then invest in water cooling. Also, turn down the max temp & power, it will throttle itself so that you don't get so hot. Why would you max them if you don't want to max the fans as well?
  12. Either an error code, maybe a bsod. as long as the power draw stays under the max a pcie slot can supply it will probably be fine. You wont hurt your PC, just pop it in and find out first hand.
  13. I have 24 and 27, I sit closer to my 24, and am about 2 feet away from my 27 can't see the pixels unless I get really close.
  14. then you wont see the pixels, the people complaining about that are sitting closer to 1ft away
  15. How close do you sit to your monitor?
  16. When I had 8GB of ram a while back in BF4 days, I'd get random stutters in game even though my CPU and GPU were good enough to play, upgrading my ram fixed it. Not saying this IS your issue, however with ram prices better than they were, it can't hurt to get 8GB more.
  17. The cable might have labeling on it, however if it doesn't then you can only find the version by the max supported resolutions or refresh rates. When getting a new cable the packaging should state the HDMI or DisplayPort version. You don't have to match it to 1.4 you can just grab anything between 1.4 and 2.1 for hdmi or displayport 1.2 to 2.0. Edit: Getting a higher version isn't going to make it a better experience to be clear, so if you find a cheaper cable that is 1.4 you don't need to get a more expensive 2.1. I only mentioned that because you can just be lazy and get the newest version if you want.
  18. HDMI 1.4+ supports 144hz at 1080p This monitor only has HDMI 1.4 anyway, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI you can scroll down to the table down this page. Displayport 1.1+ supports 144hz. The cables have separate versions as well, you need at least a 1.4 cable to support 144hz. Either way seems you need a new cable, easy and cheap fix. Edit: HDMI v1.4 x 1, DisplayPort v1.2 x 1, DVI (DualLink) x 1, these are the ports on the monitor, all 3 of these support 144Hz, I have used all 3 of these cables as I have the same monitor. I originally used DVI, after upgrading my card, temp used HDMI but I bought a display port cable for it because I needed the HDMI for my other monitor. So I'm 95% sure the cable you're using isn't 1.4
  19. I don't think so, but maybe. I've seen many references based on windows 7, I'm on 10 and it's not an existing file. So if it is real, boot repair will fix it if you have the install disk, boot repair might also fix if it was a virus, if it doesn't just re-install windows and now you've learned to be more careful lol Edit: and if you're able to ask about just replacing the file that means you still have access to the file system either way so back up your stuff.
  20. Half-life 1 to ep2, portal 1&2.
  21. You can repair windows with the install disk. Why in the world did you delete it??????
  22. The biggest problem is it hurts modularity. It would also inflate prices of motherboards a lot considering they'll essentially have the GPU board embedded into it. So now you're splitting the market even more, PCIe based boards and these new GPU socket boards. Monoblocks for these would be incredibly more specific thus being A LOT more expensive. So beefing up the motherboards will cost more, creating a socket and an interface will cost more. This only results in more expensive products.
  23. You can just underclock the 9900K to the same clocks as the 9900 though... Like I don't know if you're asking if you should go buy one or what?
  24. Probably not, it would complicate compatibility. WIth PCIe you don't need to worry about having the right socket or good enough power delivery, I think if this ever did become a thing GPU performance variance would become a nightmare. You'd also have to get a more specific motherboard, Intel + Nvidia, or Intel + AMD, or AMD + AMD, and AMD + Nvidia, or in the future AMD + Intel, or Intel + Intel.
