  1. So I want to replace my motherboard, and I am just unsure if the Win7 on my hdd will work if i get a different motherboard, or if I'll have to buy a new copy of windows. Kinda a stupid question that I don't know the answer to, but I don't want to buy a new mobo and find out I need to buy another windows key.
  2. There is no blue screen, I have to hit the reset button, and the only other thing somewhat differing from regular pc hardware would be my wifi card, its pci. Thanks for the guidance so far.
  3. So lately I've been getting random crashes on my pc. Since it started I did a fresh install of windows, and I am sure it is not a psu problem, I have been monitoring voltages and such. PC is well cooled and fairly dust free. Could it be a mobo problem? Also ran the windows memory diagnostics and no problems there... Usually crashes when there is little load on it, like watching youtube, or browsing; but I can leave it for hours just installing games off steam with no problems. Its running a MSI 970A g43 mobo, fx 6300 no oc, and a r7 260x gpu, and a seagate 1 tb ST1000dm003 hdd and a evga 600b psu and team elite 8gb ram.
  4. I would go with Seagate. I have had good experience with them, and so have all of my friends that have built pc's. They are pretty quiet and fast, and quite reliable. For the most part I've only heard good things about Seagate, and bad about WD.
  5. Keyboard is a Cooler Master Quickfire tk, mouse is a Corsair M65, mouse pad is a Perixx DX-2000 XL.
  6. Thanks for the help! I will get working on further overclocks tomorrow. Also I will probably get either the 780 or 970 depending on prices when I get around to purchasing.
  7. Alright, thanks! Also in the last few minutes I managed to find GTX 780's for $310 and a few 970's for $330. Since that is only about $30-$40 more I could try and make that work. I think it could be good future proofing for when I end up upgrading my CPU/motherboard.
  8. I have a Cooler Master Seidon 120V. I would OC it more but I am unsure about the voltages. What voltages is his at?
  9. I want to spend $300 or less on a new graphics card, and not sure what to get. I have a 600 watt PSU, which I'm pretty sure would be able to support most higher wattage GPU's. I also have a FX 6300 @3.8ghz, so I don't want to waste money on a GPU that will have power not being used if there is a bottleneck at the CPU or anywhere else. I was already thinking about a Sapphire Vapor-x Tri-x R9 280x, But I just want to get some other people's thoughts on the subject before I make any purchases.
  10. I'm not sure, I just replaced the psu and got the seidon. last I checked temps my cpu and auxiliary were both around 45 C idle with a old CM TX3, now the CPU is at 35 C and the auxiliary is at 61 C average with the seidon.
  11. I only have HWiNFO open, after reading a bit many people have said speedfan is unreliable.
  12. I recently upgraded from a Cooler Master Hyper TX3 to a Seidon 120v, and it has drastically reduced my cpu idle temp to an average of 32 C, but my Auxiliary temp is in the 50-60 C range, and I was wondering what Auxiliary is and why it is so hot. With the TX3, it stayed around 40-45 C. On speedfan it is labeled as Temp2, but HWiNFO it is Auxiliary.
  13. That looks really cool, The cable sleeves look really cool man.
  14. That thing is pretty cool, but wouldn't using wood make it really hot since wood is a insulator?
