  1. A8 and A10 are the same as CPU, but A10s comes with better cpu's. But I think they'll be okay with an A8... and you can save much more money. The shared memory size with and apu its 512 mb, and you are able to set the size of the shared memory for the GPU, from 512 up to 2 gb.. So a 8gb of RAM it's recommended for a smoother experience in browsing several webs at the sime time, and things like that. But I recommend 1600 mhz least. I would choose the A8-5600k, it's okay for any issue they need.
  2. stock coolers are designed for plug in any kind of case without compromising space. You can go fine with that if we are talking about a low TDP processor. Personally, I don't recomend keeping that stock coolers above 65 degrees of TDP. The profile of stock coolings are very low and its fan too, this leaves heat above the motherboard surface so you need and additional system fan to pull that heat.
  3. Of course dude you'll be happy with that unlocked fx for a looong, that fx 8320 it's a bit old now, but stills being an option against intel's cpu's. AMD brought to market in 2012 this vishera core and remain's on the top of the wave for gaming, overclock without paying more if you need it
  4. I don't expect a lower architecture than 14 nm, cause developing a new architecture takes a hard work and longtime and Intel will stand with the 14 nm, so I think it's possible seeing Intel vs AMD in 14nm. Lets see, AMD anounced they be back improving multi-threading features, that could means cpu's up to above the eight threads, like Intel with their lga2011 processors with 12 threads. For then in 2016 DDR4 will be standardized and more popular, providing more chances for developing IGPUs features, so would not be unexpected thinking about a kind of High-End APU. And we trust surely in better prices than the competence's one, AND unlocked CPU's... without paying more for it
  5. You can set a FX-8350 up to 5 Ghz... with that moterboard is possible the only thing that changes are frequencies and voltage and a hard cooler solution, that's all. The FX 9590 it's not so far overclockable above that 5 ghz.
  6. All in One sealed "water cooling" devices have expiration date because microevaporation and pump's lifetime, and performance falls after a time. You wont go longer than 2-3 years and you should end up replacing it. So remember this point: A very good one air heatsink estructure is forever and never will leaves you!
  7. 1.) It's impossible, fridge's are designed for keeping food, cold food, BUT NOT FOR COOLING things with an active heat source! 2.) The power to cool "ratio" of a fridge or even a freezer can't resist no much longer the continuos heat, so temperatures inside the fride will go increasing after a while. 3. ) And no, there isn't anyway to avoid condensation inside a fridge, the air surrounding you always will have a range of humidity even in the driest part of planet. Condensation is an issue that extreme overclockers have in mind when going into liquid nitrogen at the CPU. The black background design on the motherboard is created for helping seeing condensation upon the motherboard will you are making extreme cooling. It's a input featured by Gigabyte, now all motherboards wears the blackground design, but initially started with the need of detecting and avoid condensation. Sorry for all that, we can't go against thermodynamics laws! at least, not for a long!
  8. I had a very similar problem time ago with an asrock mobo, the was at the 24 pin power connector area, and in the VRM phases.. It's really uncertain guide and hit the exactly problem without a directly first hand experience, but al least, if you say which pc parts you're running maybe I can help better. (cpu, cooler, model of power supply, ....) I suggest you that quietly, open your case, and turn it sideways and then softly move the 24 pin cable, by bending softly backwards and forwars, just to see if something happens while you are booting the system. By the way, have you got CPU with integrated graphics or a graphic chip onboard to plug your screen cable? This may help you to discard your discrete card is damaged.
  9. Great topic. This is my home connection, its one of the cheapest FTTH connection available in Spain, just for 38 €, 20/2,5: ">http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3508850736]
  10. In order you have already a discrete graphics card, I recomend as the best choice for the AMD Platform the AM3+ Socket instead kaveri. Even the fx-6300 (Vishera) has stronger cores than the quad-core tiny kaveri cpu cores. However, you can save money if you go for a fm2+ socket motherboard and a quad core APU; BUT NOT necessarily a kaveri one, which are more expensive and don't really increases the CPU performance vs Richland APUs. A really interesting cpu with a great ratio performace-price for you could be the Athlon II X4 760k, which is an fm2 processor richland family without integrated graphics card, same performance and lower price so. You'll need too go for new memory RAM sticks ddr3, 4gigb x 2 at 1600mhz is a nice choice, if you can't, at least the 4 gigs.
  11. southern - western europe here, beside mediterranean sea too!
  12. I vote no to 2nd and 3rd question, but just because I think youtube is their natural environment And they should spend additional time in order to create contents and topics for the podcast and this would affect adversely their job. Also think that making a random stuff's broadcasting wont be good
  13. Hello there, I want to share with youy my particular specs of my very singular value rig. AMD A8-6600K, I manage overclock (and underclock) when I need, to a stable 4,6 ghz. Gigabyte ga-f2a88xm-d3h. 4 GB X 2 Kingston Hiperx Blue 1600 mhz CL9, AND a Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 660 2GB GDDR5 OC. I'm very happy with my sets even I know I don't own the best processor in earth, but does exactly what I want and I like very much especially the price performance ratio of this family of processors, and of course, the aviability of overclocking in almost all their products. But in thermes of graphics card I prefer the nvidia ones, and this Gigabyte have too a great performance, it comes factory overclocked but if you know how, as I had configurated, I hit the GPU Core up to 1228 Mhz, and up to 1575 mhz in memory clock. I reviewed the old videos from tests and linus' benchmarks at their umboxings and comparissions and I reach to higher considerable performance numbers. In conclusion, I have a system that's has exceeded my expectations and I think its quite suitable and capable to run every actual game at high resolutions, obviously ajusting the fine game specs in all cases, And this configuration has brought to me the chance to learn too much things about overclocking, comparing my machine to anothers and learning much more. In short, I'm now more hardware enthusiast than before and better person LOL The negative point its that de fm2+ platform don't offers support for Nvidia SLI multi-gpu, so, I've been watching the Linus videos of GTX 660 SLI, and I can't go for it with these APU's and being realistic, maybe its not the most accurate cpu for this task. Greetings,
