  1. @Geekazoid I know, I was weary of this, but I checked out the panel specs and they're just apple cinema displays that apple don't want. That means they sometimes have dead pixel's etc, but this one i'm looking at has been used for 2 months and has no dead/stuck pixels or light bleed! That's the only reason i'm going for it, otherwise i'm not sure i'd take the gamble!
  2. Ahh okay! As I have no monitor and I won't be gaming straight away, i'll get a monitor first. But I remember reading somewhere I may need an 'active' adapter? I'm just not sure why, any clue's?
  3. It does support 4K through the hdmi port, that's why I was wondering if there was any chance of a Dual link DVI to HDMI working? And I don't have a monitor at the moment so I need one before a GPU, plus i'm getting it for ~£180 so a steal for an apple IPS panel!
  4. Hello! I'm a newbie so any help would be much appreciated! I am buying this monitor: http://www.amazon.com/CROSSOVER-27QW-IPS-LED-2560x1440/dp/B00EZM7GCY But I have one problem! I have nearly completed my hackintosh build but have run out of budget, therefore don't have a dedicated graphics card YET. I have a ga-z87x-d3h motherboard and an I7 4770k. Now the motherboard has HDMI 1.4a and can support up to 4K! The monitor only supports DVI Dual link so I need to connect it to the motherboard for the mean time until I get the funds for my GTX 780. On the gigabytes website (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4518#sp) it says the DVI-D port can only support a max res of 1980x1200 from this port. So my question is, can I get a DVI dual link to HDMI 1.4 that will display 2560x1440p natively with no issues? Thanks guys, look forward to your thoughts!
