I have been looking at handhelds for mobile gaming and the Anbernic RG350M seems great but it's got an older chip and I know the CM4 devices will run newer games more easily. I just don't want to buy into old technology when new stuff is here.

I have a dual socket X3650 M4 at work that is mine to play with and learn on. Since it's still plenty powerful and work is picking up the electric bill what are some thing's you'd do with a 24 thread server and 256GB of RAM? I have about 10TB of space to work with on it.

Yeah I need to get my desk cleared off to get it on there and for @AskTJ I'm working on getting it opened. It has been shoved back together wrong so it's not coming open easy.

I just picked this up from a job site and it's been sitting since probably 1996. Likely unused for 17-18 of those 22 years. Currently not powering on and filthy. Clean up first and then I'll be troubleshooting the power on issues. Stay tuned. I can take any other pics requested. I have no idea what OS it's running but I assume Windows 95 or PC DOS. I plan to make it an old fashioned gaming PC for Doom and the like if I can get it up to snuff.

This laptop will be used for general computing. So basically plenty of writing papers and research and probably videos and music. Musts are an i7 and at ledast 8 gigs of RAM. Not entertaining AMD systems at all. 1TB harddrive and if an SSD can be fit in the budget that'd be good too. 1080p screen. Please don't try to convince me I don't need the specs I asked for. That's what is wanted so if you have suggestions that fit those specs then throw them my way.
