  1. Hello to everyone! Please, I would like your very important help on a yahoo issue. Yahoo, has sent me the following mail message: " Hi Yahoo Member, We love that you love using your Yahoo Mail. And we want to make sure you always have the best experience. That’s why we’re reaching out today. We’ve noticed that you’re using non-Yahoo applications (such as third-party email, calendar, or contact applications) that may use a less secure sign-in method. To protect you and your data, Yahoo will no longer support the current sign-in functionality in your application starting on 20 October 2020. This means that you will need to take one of the steps below to continue using Yahoo Mail without interruption. But don’t worry, you have options. Find an option that works best for you below: Option 1: We recommend that you access your email using our free Yahoo Mail app for iOS and Android or simply go to mail.yahoo.com to access Yahoo Mail on the web. Option 2: Keep your current, non-Yahoo app, BUT follow a few steps to get it to sync with our secure sign-in method. The steps vary across different email applications, but in most cases, you will have to remove your Yahoo account from the app and then add it back again to update the sign-in security. Use the links below to follow the specific steps for your current application: iOS Mail Gmail Samsung Mail Others Option 3: You can generate a one-time, unique password that will allow you to sign in to your account using your non-Yahoo email application. Once created, this password will continue to allow your app to securely sync your Yahoo email unless you sign out (or are signed out) from your app. You can find instructions on how to do this here. If you want more details on these changes, please visit our help page. If you’ve already taken action, we’d like to think you haven’t read this far, but if you have . . . we sure appreciate the diligence! Thanks for rocking that Yahoo Mail address! Yours in your inbox, The Yahoo Team " What I want to do is continue using my yahoo mail account from the non-yahoo app on my desktop, but using the same password I already have. I do not want create a one-time unique password, as the message above says, and also I do not want download yahoo mail application on my mobile phone or tablet, and start using my account from there. Also, I do not want start using the account from yahoo's web page. As you understand, I just want leave the situation as it is. Also, if I go to the application on my desktop, remove the account, and set it up again, I have too many messages (thousands) for download/synchronization. Something, I do not want. Is the solution to go to the account settings on the third-party application, change something there, and this will solve this problem? Has yahoo made any changes, that enforces us made all this procedure? Is the solution somewhere else that you could tell me? Thank you for your time!!
  2. Hello everyone. I have a non understanding issue on MX records building. Why always a MX record should be paired with an A record? Why, before building MX record(s), an A record should be first created? Why networking standard have been created such way? What is being earned acting this way? Why MX records fields are not these that no A record should be paired? What is the earning in the whole activity? Thank you!
  3. This is a very good analysis about Exchange Server usage, working environment, and importance of powershell usage learning. Thank you very much!!
  4. About the fact that a MX record is pointing to an A record, is something I too was thinking writing previous answer. I did not even think the scenario that juat one A record could point to multiple IP addresses. Here concept needs a little more study, and I appreciate your answer. More learning will take place by studying such a scenario, too. Thanks a lot!
  5. This is an awesome and extremely informative and knowledge answer, that answers many queries I had on this all issue. Thank you!! Now, I would like to give the total/gold query that is a kind of combination of the beginning/start of the topic and mail server. Saying combination I mean:MX Records in combination with Mail Server. Reading about MX Records and seeing lots of videos, I have seen that there are at least two MX Records that navigate to a Mail Server. Now, what I have understood for this, is as follows: Suppose mail server is a water fount, and people want to go to the fount to get water. MX Records are different roads that navigate to that fount, so if many people want water, to be able to reach fount divided to these records, and not must go through one and only road (balance) and second reason if a road becomes unreachable, fount can be reached via other(s) road(s) (security/safety). So, many MX Records, in reality, mean different roads/tunnels navigating to the same one and only Mail Server. e.g. 3 MX Records mean three roads and not 3 Mail Servers. More than one Mail Server is another scenario, which is not my now analysis. Have I understood correct about all that?
  6. Not building another topic, I think my question fits this one. Reading here and there, making so many Google searches, I have never found somebody saying that a mail server is a physical machine. A pc. Or, to say it in simpler words, a mail message, is just a data file, and a mail server is a PC with a hard drive, and on this hard drive, sended mail message (data file) is firstly stored, apart from the fact that afterwards the recevient will delete it or donwload it (POP3). Am I missing something?
  7. Yes, I have in mind, since I have completed all staff with domain buy and IP addresses, mail servers, and all these, to arrange rules with ports, SSLs, and all other may need. Sure these are some little gotchas. Yes, I also have in mind the first I should build Active Directory, and on that, install MS Exchange. Thank you all for your precious and informative answers !! p.s. Any plus answers would be of course great!
  8. That's exactly what I thought I would proceed with. Domains cost so little. So, I would buy a domain, and find a solution to proceed. A local networking exchange servering that you suggest me, and I really appreciate, is something I already knew, but I would like to make this work in real world conditions:Web.
  9. Oops. You are all right wondering with my saying "free domain". I want to say a domain that does not own someone else. Not free from money side. Sorry! Thank you all for your precious and informative answers. I really appreciate this. I would like to apologise for my insist, but I would like to ask again if I have understood things correct in the scenario of the topic. Independent of the solutions you give me.
  10. Hello LTT members! Please, I would like your help and recommendations in the following issue I have. Last days, I started reading and searching about domains, domain buy, public IP buying, my web hosting, mail servers, etc. The issue I mentioned above that I have is this one: The things I want to do at the same time are: a. Buy a free domain I like b. Enter domain cPanel in order to learn building A an MX records, mainly c. Install on a PC a MS Exchange Server, build some accounts there, and, in combination of these accounts together with the domain (e.g. mary@example.com), to make some experiments about sending and receiving mails inside and outside the domain (e.g. send/receive from yahoo.com). But, not only this. Also, learn MS Exchange Server. From my until now reading, I have understood that, without a bought public IP, which is kind of more expensive, and I cannot afford, I cannot "play" and make c. Because on the MX records, I cannot target a destination. Or maybe there is some other things I escape now. So, have I understood things well? No public IP means at the same time no mail staff? p.s. for the beginning of this scenario, please do not suggest me any solutions like free trial mail servers, or no-ip staff, etc. At the moment, I would like your precious help to help me understand I have understood things correctly by now. Thank you for your time!
  11. Hello everybody. Please, I would like your help to make things clear in something I saw about networking. In specific video (this is part 2/3), he turns auto to a static IP address. But, as you can see, the static IP he gives locally to the ethernet interface is 199.207.13.45. How is it possible? As far as I know and read (and here is something I misunderstand), in local networks, you can give a Class A/B/C IPv4 address to an ethernet interface. 199.x.x.x is out of this ranges. 199.x.x.x are refered to public IPs. How is it possible to give 199.207.13.45 (network 199.207.13.x - subnet: 255.255.255.0 as he says), and this works? Thank you for your time!
  12. Thank you a lot for your explanatory answer. Also, thank you all for your help giving me with your informative answers!!
  13. I am sorry for my this question, but by saying "squeeze", you mean prefer Ryzen 5? It would be better than Ryzen 3 with this money? Because I cannot understand by squeezing will go to a big difference up or down? Saying all these because of course here we have a bigger number (5 than 3), but in CPU world, I do not know if the bigger number always means better. Sorry again!
  14. Yes, my purpose is to go for a new laptop for SAP application. So, from your answers, is to go for a Ryzen 3.
  15. Looking for a laptop amd cpu about $500 - $550 (8GB RAM) that would run easily a SAP app.
  16. Hello everyone. Please, I would like your help in the following. Having a laptop as follows: Which on your opinion would be an AMD equal CPU to this i5? Or maybe 2 AMDs to watch? Thank you for your time!
  17. Hi all ! A problem in my laptop. I have a defective mechanical HDD 120GB. I ordered and have in my hands a SSD 120GB. The problem is that BIOS does not recognize/read the SSD one. Notebook ACER ASPIRE 5630 series Model No : BL50 BIOS Phoenix : V3.50 Mechanic HDD (problematic) : 120GB Brand new SSD : 120GB I upgraded to latest BIOS for this notebook from V3.50 to V3.60, but still BIOS not reading it. Is there something else I may do? Thank you!
  18. Hi all members. I need your help to the issue: I have a hard drive of 120GB with Vista: two partitions of 60GB. 2nd partition is totally empty. I want to expand first partition with e.g. 20GB of 2nd one. Having both gparted and PartedMagic boot from, both stop expanding process with error message of hard drive bad sectors. Is there a way to discard/dismiss the bad sectors existence message, and complete expanding? p.s. I have already a full disk backup made by CloneCD. Seems very strange to me the fact that, CloneCD completes disk cloning of this bad sectors hard drive, but gparted and PartedMagic do not. Thank you!

    STP ports

New question came up. Why, in stp, other link of root port must be a designated port?

    STP ports

Awesome!! Thank you very much for your time and writing. This all is amazing helpful. Thank you again. Now, a last question that I cannot understand days now. I see in many videos and web pages diagrams and topologies, neighbor switches cost to be just one cost. What I mean? If two neighbor switches are connected in same bps ports, of course there I understand that we have one cost. Same cost because ports are same bandwidth. But, what if the connection is in different bps ports? See, in following image: In this topology, I do not understand if I make any mistake in cost between CoreSwitch and DSW2. In this cable connection, in CoreSwitch, port is a fast ethernet port (100Mbps), and in DSW2 cable goes on a Gbps port. So: Clockwise : cost is 4 Non-clockwise : cost is 19. Am I wrong? And if I am wrong, could you please give me the explanation?

    STP ports

Thank you for your answer. Of course, from my questions on topic, you have understood that I have not yet understood STP ports states, and in general STP. So, according to your answer, I guess that in the state every port that we have joined in STP, regardless its state, data finally will be transmitted via port that the cable is connected to, no matter if it is a root port and not a forwarding port. It is like in a switch, data first meets forwarding port, then goes to root port (cable) and then goes to next hop switch. Is that right? An example with switches, ports, ports states, cabling and all this stuff would be perfect (of course if you have some time).

    STP ports

Hello everyone. I have some questions on STP ports states and data sent via these ports. It is about two neighbor switches. Let's say switches S1 and S2 are connected with only one cable, in their f0/1 port each. These ports, f0/1 is the root port for each. Then, f0/5 of each is the designated ports. Now let's say S1 wants to send some data to S2. Since f0/5 of S1 has no cable to connect to S2, how are data being exchanged between them? I do not think that data are being exchanged via f0/1 ports, because f0/1 ports are not ports for exchanging data. They are root ports. Not forwording/designated ports that make this job. Thank you for your time!
  23. Thank you for your answers. I am sorry for confusion I caused. But I thought that "interesting traffic" was a universal definition of networking. In ACLs or NAT or VPN. For now, in my study, I am in NAT field. I tried to understand seeing it in 27:15 of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5wuJFoeVDQ&t=513s
  24. Hi everybody. Please, I would like your help in order to understand meaning of "interesting traffic" in networking. Not specifically in NAT, VPN, etc. I cannot understand what it is in Ethernet IT. Can you explain it? Thank you!
