  1. I use a 500w psu for my 7870 but it was because I wanted to oc my cpu. I think a 7870 by itself costs 200w. Also for the ram try to get something that's common so that it matches and you don't get problems. I like your build its cheap and upgradable, your working with what you got.
  2. Hi I have an old hp laptop that my mother had been using and she had forgotten the bios password . (Its an old hp pavilion Dv2040ca ) Is there a why for me reformat it from bios? I personally thought it was completely gone but I never threw it away so I was wondering if the forum could help
  3. Hi I have a Hotmail account that had either been hacked into or got too much spam filled in it. Any ways here is the problem that I have encountered. I tried to log into my Hotmail account one day and it gave me a message that someone else might be using account (might be... lol). It only gives me the option to send a recovery password or something to another email account ( Hotmail is f**king smart rite). I had forgotten not only the password to this other account but the email as well. ( Hotmail doesn't tell me in detail of what the other email account is either). Is there a solution to this problem ? :( help
  4. LOL - it seems like the current headphone jack isn't even capable with the new xbox :D
  5. At least its usb 3.0 :D
  6. i think its on the motherboard like next to the cpu if u look closely... i don't know exactly though
  7. Its interesting to find a heatsink +fan on CPU for the new console. Also nice to know that you can also change the HDD ( probably going to void warranty.... etc.). Let me know what you guys think about new console except how much it sucks against PC Pictures : http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/05/xbox-one-development-photos/#slideid-138497 Article: http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/05/xbox-one/
  8. This is kinda cool that there is 'no' vote yet
  9. I personally think bottlenecking certain parts of your system is personal preference. If you have a lot of things rendering then oc the cpu or if you want to cap certain games to more pretty then you could try oc the video card. If you want to add more stuff to your build go for an ssd or a better cooler/fans. I think bottlenecking occurs mostly in different games so It will depend on the type of games you play.
  10. I have been trying to buy a 2x4gb memory and found a intel extreme masters memory would my amd board work on it. Amd board is a 990xa gigbyte board, its pretty standard board so it can hold the 1600mhz and volts that the intel needs.
  11. Thanks but i figured out the problem it was due to my cable/ network service provider blocking that site ( it was shaw if your in canada). Maybe my service provider uses intel graphics for something lol. anyways thanks
  12. I was given an email after I bought my amd graphics card about the never settle bundle and in the email I was told to go to this website : www.amd.com/neversettlepromo but whenever I go to this site it redirects me to a search engine that has domain not found. Am I suppose to use the code from ncix or do I just look for the never settle in my amd graphics card box.
  13. This is more of a discussion question but I was wondering when the new haswell processors comes out from intel will there be the same amount of motherboards series and sizes. (ie z77 series, itx, or matx) Do you think we will need to wait a month or so before those types of boards come out?
  14. I'm looking into buying a refurbished graphics card but I like many people is a bit skeptical. I found a 7870 gigabyte graphics card (price around 190) under a legitimate company but is it worth it to save the extra money or would it be better to just buy it new. Has anyone had problem after they bought a refurbished graphic card or any other important computer parts ? ( ie. motherboard, memory , psu)
  15. thank you I will keep a look out for the sabertooth motherboard from asus. I'm predicting the cost will be high, won't it?
  16. Is there any Amd motherboard that has a pcie 3.0 slot. If there isnt why are there no pcie 3.0 slot on amd motherboards?
