  1. Everywhere on the unlock thread on overclock.net, people say that you can't unlock it if you get those values. Wouldn't that mean that the card is physically incapable of being unlocked to a 290x? (due to shader units physically disabled). I have an MSI 290 and get the same values and I'm not sure if I want to risk trying your method of using the -unlockrom parameter.
  2. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZzbKDmFOqsP_ut2RdctD01OEbZzbXol6HLwqVkSmZcg/edit#gid=0 This is a list of mice that have sensors which do not exhibit any sort of acceleration or prediction, which helps greatly in CS:GO. I recommend the Razer Deathadder, Steelseries Rival, and Zowie FK1 as they the most popular mice for cs at the moment.
  3. Definitely not a server problem. I can load the same thing on mobile data and it will load very quickly.
  4. Lately my internet has been acting very wierd. I get about 1.2 - 1.3 Mbps on speedtest.net (I live in Australia). This speed is fine for most of my uses however lately I've been noticing that if I do certain things on the internet, my bandwidth doesn't seem to be fully utilised. For example, if open a YouTube video, the video will buffer at 1.2 - 1.3 Mbps, which is normal. However if I try to load another video on another site such as dailymotion, the video will only buffer at around 0.2Mbps or so. You may say that maybe something else on the network is using the bandwidth but I've tested this with only one device on the network and no other programs downloading anything. This happens on any device on my network as well, be it my laptop or phone or whatever. If I use mobile data on my phone and hotspot it, everything loads fast, so its not an issue with servers. Things like downloading files and loading images on imgur can also be slow, loading at only around 0.2Mbps or so. Loading webpages however, always seem to work fine. Its almost as if I have reached my monthly download limit but only certain activities are effected by shaped speeds. If anyone could help me out, it would be most appreciated.
  5. Is it possible to overclock the g3258 with a z87 mobo without needing a regular haswell cpu? Is it possible to do so without needing a bios update? Also, what chipsets will need (and don't need) bios updates to overclock it?
  6. i have fairly large hands however I'm much more used to small mice. looks like an interesting mouse, however i can;t find the dimensions or weight of this mouse
  7. I'm using a kinzu v1 that was given to me by a friend a long time ago. I've been looking to upgrade to a new mouse as the feet are worn out and doesn't glide like it used to. I also recently found out the sensor had some kind of hardware acceleration. I mainly play fps games such as cs:go and I'm using a goliathus mousepad. I would like a mouse that i can fingertip grip with. suggestions?
  8. I'm not sure what I should do with this information.
  9. im aware that it can crossfire, i was just wondering how you could possibly plug in your front panel io with a graphics card in the way
  10. I was just wondering how m-atx motherboards such as this: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87MPLUS/ can support multiple gpus. I ask because judging from the pictures, the bottom pci slot seems to be positioned right above the usb plugs and front panel io.
  11. if the laptop has an intel cpu with amd discrete graphics card, most likely the drivres from amd's website won't work and the drivers from the laptop manufacturer will be outdated. i personally have a laptop like this and i suggest u download your drivers from this site: http://leshcatlabs.net/ this person provides latest drivers for people with such laptops. remember to follow the manual to the letter because it is quite easy to screw up the driver if not done correctly. hope this helps
  12. hmm how does avast compare to mse (or windows defender for win8) performance wise?
  13. MSE or windows defender if ur on windows 8. you really don't need an anitvirus if you use common sense and use the internet safely. just be careful and any basic a/v should do fine.
  14. about mid to high 80's while playing games he has a bitfenix shinobi (window version) case
