  1. Do not buy two 980 tis in sli, if you want you could sell it and get 1080 ti but the titan xp is enough for whatever you're playing. The ryzen 1700 is very good if you overclock it, and will eventually be better than an i7 in gaming in the coming years when more cores become utilized.
  2. Really all you need is a 2.4ghz/5ghz dual band wifi adapter from a good brand, and it will get the job done. I use this one and it's great https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704133&cm_re=wdn4800-_-33-704-133-_-Product Also, this one is on sale right now for $50 and if you have an ac router, it would be even better https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704274
  3. Powercolor is a known brand, but I'm not sure if it's great. MSI is definitely better though, it's up to you if you want to risk it. Either way, at least right now, the rx 470 has very close performance to the rx 480.
  4. This rx 480 would be a better deal for you than the 470. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131708&cm_re=rx_480-_-14-131-708-_-Product Only $10 more, a better value, and you'll be getting better performance to go with the i7.
  5. if that's the only difference, I'd definitely say no. $200 obviously isn't a little. However if there is a difference in ram or storage as well, then it is probably worth it.
  6. If you buy alot of games each year, I think you should get a best buy gamer club membership. It's $30 for 2 years, and whenever you buy a game, you get double the rewards points, 20% off the game, and if you pre-order you get a $10 certificate to use on another purchase. Plus you get to relax knowing you bought a key from a genuine retailer and that it won't get deactivated. Greenmangaming and kinguin are also pretty solid. I don't know much about gog though.
  7. There are some skylake motherboards that support ddr3, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132582&cm_re=skylake_motherboard-_-13-132-582-_-Product this for example. Skylake is a pretty substantial upgrade so I wouldn't recommend going with haswell. An i3 6100 will do the job.
  8. Go with something like the rx 470, 480, or gtx 1060 around the price range. Not only are they new and in new condition, but they will be supported longer, draw less power, be cooler, have much more vram (the 690 has 2gb of vram because it's in sli), and perform better in more games because of sli scaling or support.
  9. Well any i7 will do the job but you should provide a budget and state its currency.
  10. How do the colors and viewing angles look? I've seen it before online and it looks like a really good value.
  11. Hello guys. So previously, I was thinking of getting a 1440p 60hz monitor, but I heard that 1440p has problems with scaling 1080p content, and that it would never become a true standard. Also, I tend to spend most of my gaming hours playing competitive games like cs:go, so I believe 144hz would definitely help. Eventually, once 4k monitors become cheap, I could pickup a good 60hz one as a second monitor, because that is the next standard. But for now, which 144hz monitor should I get for under $300? All I want is that it comes from a reputable brand, looks decent (aesthetically), and has a good quality tn panel. Please leave me any suggestions. Thank you!
  12. I have a cryorig h5 ultimate, and it's great. It's a bit under your budget if you're talking USD, it's at $47 USD, but it's solid, good looking, silent, easy to install, and a great performer. I overclocked my i7 6700k to 4.6ghz at 1.295v easily, and the highest temperature in one of the cores is 76c when stress testing.
  13. The i3 is much better, take a look at this video. It's also 4 threads, many people forget that. You might want to go for the rx 470/4gb 480 instead, the 960 was never great to begin with and now it is definitely not a good value.
  14. There's no competition, the i3 even easily beats the fx 6300 in this video.
  15. AMD cores are very weak, and the i3 also has hyperthreading so it is similar to a quad core. The i3 6100 is definitely better, 100%.
