  1. CPU's rarely bottleneck cards as much any more, games seem to be (totally anecdotal BTW) much more GPU intensive nowadays. Odd game may only work well with 4 cores/threads though.
  2. I have a Zotac gtx 670, so I know they make solid cards. Would love that AMP Extreme though, it looks like the GPU Batman would use.
  3. Well I have a G3420 in my steam streaming box, and in general non-gaming usage, it isn't much different from my 4670k overclocked. With some games it can make a lot of difference though. Do you mind giving some examples of the non-cpu intensive games you play? I only ask because some newer games which are coded to use more than 2 cores, will run better on 4 lower clocked cores, than they ever could on 2 overclocked cores.
  4. A cx500m will probably be able to handle 1 gtx 970 and any processor overclocked no problem. Cx600 could probably handle 2, but I wouldn't overclock that much, just in case.
  5. Half Life 2. No question about it.
  6. Steam + Origin + Uplay = 180. I have completed all but 3 of them, so I almost don't have a steam backlog anymore! If you include consoles, then that number jumps up another 60 or so after you take out games I have repurchased on PC.
  7. It is a solid console shooter, I'm only at level 9 but I have enjoyed it so far, the PVP is great. The way I see it there are 2 kinds of games I enjoy, cinematic story driven games (TLOU, Bioshock, The Witcher etc) and games that are fun because of great gameplay mechanics (Far Cry, Hitman etc). Sometimes they overlap, like GTA or Deus Ex. Destiny falls into that second camp, its just a fun game and it controls well. Not GOTY or anything, but still decent. It also controls surprisingly well with a controller.
  8. Not that impressed with the desktop GPU's, but those mobile ones look awesome!
  9. I have a 4670k @4.5ghz, its a solid processor and I would definitely recommend it. Haswell has the highest IPC, and at least for what I use my computer (gaming) 4 cores are more than enough.
  10. Dust can really heat up a system, when is the last time your PC was dusted? I know it seems like a small thing, but when I started dusting my PC, my case temperature went down 10 degrees! Does your case have adequate ventilation as well?
  11. It is powerful enough, because in-home streaming has Intel Quicksync support, which is supported on the z3770 processor in the t100. Hardware decoding should make it quite feasible. Don't know if the wifi module in the T100 is good enough for streaming though, I've only been using a wired connection to my stream box (with a dual core pentium G3420 - which has quicksync). Well, the processor is definitely good enough. I found a video on YouTube with steam streaming on that laptop:
  12. Loving that glass/metal finish. Doesn't hurt that it also has a great battery. Nice job on the custom skin as well, I would love rocking that linustech branding!
