  1. Hey guys, haven't posted on here since 2016 but am watching an LTT video right now and couldn't think of a better place to ask about this because the Microsoft and Forza communities have been useless. I have an older system that was mid-range when it came out, with a 6600k at 4.4GHz (stable and runs about 70c under load, been OCd since first day use.) I recently swapped out my R9 380X that I built the system with for an RTX 2060 off FB Marketplace. On seemingly any settings at 1080p, I keep getting game freezes, the low streaming bandwith popup, textures fail to load in, etc.. This happens whether I am on all Low settings or all Ultra. My FPS stays about the same regardless. Obviously the card is more than capable and even the 6GB of VRam is not the issue because I never go above 5GB of usage on Ultra, plus on Low it still has the issues using only about 2-3GB. I have 16GB of DDR4-2600 Ram and run the game off a WD Black M.2, with my OS on a regular SSD. I also get a similar issue in GTA V in regards to textures not loading in. I will be driving through nothingness falling through floors until the world loads in about a full 10-20 seconds later sometimes. I know my CPU is on the older side but even running the game on Low I feel like I shouldn't be running into this and was wondering if I was missing something here, before I take my computer fully apart and upgrade my board and chip.
  2. Hey guys, I just got my 6600k and need some memory for it to put in the MSI SLI Z170A Plus that I got with it. I was looking to get Kingston HyperX Fury, but it says it's for X99 and all reviews I can find are of it in X99 systems. Can anyone tell me if it will work in my board with Skylake? 3. I would love a mouse as my shitty stock Dell mouse's cable finally snapped completely apart... It looks amazing!
  4. Well newegg just ran out of Dark Rock 3s.... I guess I'll just get a Dark Rock TF. I like the look of topflow coolers anyway
  5. If it even does fit, do I need to be concerned about heat from it eminating onto the side panel window? What could happen? I would return it if it made contact but if I can clear a few millimeters I would probably try it.
  6. Im planning my first build (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QVfD6h) to replace my 2013 laptop which can run GTA V 1080p lowest settings 40-50fps and was wondering if I should go for the R9 390 now or wait for Pascal/Polaris? Im rather impatient as my laptop overheats and i need to use a full size room fan under it to cool it, so I dont really want to wait any longer than may, as my birthday is in late april. I have a 1080p 144hz monitor (I know I wont be maxxing games at 144fps, its for CSGO and less demanding games) and dont really see myself getting anything above 1440p for the next 2-3 years at least, thats how long Im hoping this to do high-ultra for.
  7. A straight copy paste of what I posted in Cases and got no reply to: The p400s windowed says it has 160mm of clearance and the be quiet! dark rock 3 says it is exactly 160mm... Will it fit or scratch the side? Or not fit at all?

  9. This actually seems like the best option I've seen so far, haven't thought about the Nano. How do temps and overclocking on the Nano go compared to a non-X Fury? There are a few in the same price range right now and I'm obviously not crunched for space.
  10. Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a predicament. I'm planning a build, currently for 1080p, but hoping to go 4k maybe around Christmas 2016 if I'm lucky. I'm currently torn between 2 rather high-end GPU options that will affect the rest of my build. I can either go with a build where I put most of my money to the GPU, a GTX 980 ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vWpm4D ) but go for a cheaper cooler and no SSD (I already have an HDD) or I can go for a higher-end overall build with a watercooler and an SSD, but get an R9 390 ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/b2pm4D ) Which one do you guys think I should go for in terms of performance per dollar, as well as future-proofing and future expandability?
  11. In my eyes, for almost $200, you only get 5-10 FPS more, maybe 20 FPS more when you try to push 4k, between the R9 390 and GTX 980. Why does everyone seem to compare the R9 390x, which I think is more of a contender for the 980 Ti, with the 980? And why do so many people think the 980 is in such a different class, just because of the price difference? I think they are really comparable cards, and that the price to performance of the R9 390, along with future-proofing of the 8GB vram makes it a much better deal, and in some cases even a better performer (give or take some overclockability) What do you guys think in terms of comparing these 2 cards and which do you pick/prefer?
  12. Yes, the 144hz is really just for CS:GO. As stated at the bottom of my post I mostly play Rocket League and GTA V, with some Borderlands 2 occasionally. I don't expect 144 fps in those games, 60 is my goal for everything except CS. When I have some extra cash (near the end of the year maybe) maybe I'll SLI, if that would give me enough for 144 on high~ish settings.
  13. Is that confirmed? I hear so much about Pascal being a huge step. Is it really worth it that much to wait? I might get the system without a GPU and continue using my laptop (gt650m) until Pascal.
