  1. Specs and reviews for this monitor are showing it's a great choice for budget orientated monitors, with pretty high quality, although it lacks speakers, speakers aren't difficult to come across in any situation. This one is looking like a promising choice This one looks pretty good, although a little bit more expensive than the above mentioned u2515h, this does come with the advantage of having speakers however, although it seems the speaker quality isn't special. ________ So far it looks like the Dell option is looking quite promising, and it does shine with reviews especially at its price point
  2. Ok due to a recent incident I now need a new monitor (It involved cats.) I enjoyed 1080p and had a nice IPS screen previously for that monitor, however I feel that if I'm going to be getting a new monitr - why not up to 1440p? My specs for reference: -Gigabyte z97x gaming 5 -4690k @ 4.4 -Gigabyte G1 970 -8GB hyperx fury My price range is from £180 to a max of £280 What I need in a monitor: -I do not mind monitors at 5ms, personally I don't think the difference is to much to make a fuss about -Picture quality has to be relatively nice -Would like a higher refresh rate, but I can easily live with 60 So, what do people recommend, from looking around i've not found any "great" options but I want to see some people's testimonials/recommendations!
  3. I'd not be surprised if this was fixed in less than 2 days in honesty.
  4. Source: http://www.businessinsider.com.au/bruce-schneier-david-cameron-proposed-encryption-ban-destroy-the-internet-2015-7 Alright so some of what has been said in this is a little worrying to hear although that can be credited to news articles based on politics obviously being a little more dramatic than they should be, however, I still believe that steps in this direction may not be that great. Currently trying to get access to encrypted information with a warrant may be reasonable to do, in some cases, although worryingly if something such as this can pass, then it could lead to a less secure environment for the internet in the UK. Currently these "Strong" forms of encryption seem to mostly be targeted towards social media, although there are forms that can be used for other safety, such as encryption for purchases and such, I would honestly prefer if online businesses and retailers weren't more open to forms of attack due to having their more secure forms of encryption removed. This personally seems like a few steps have been taken backwards in some regards, although how does the rest of you view this? Is there merit to this, or is this just a crazy 'phase' that's happening and will be forgotten in a few weeks as per usual? Please do not cause a massive political debate over parties and political groups, this is to be related to how it can affect us using technology and such! Did I do this article right?
  5. I'm not going to say much on this, other than this being massively hypocritical from the US. "Oi don't spend money on something that may be used to further any militarization! That money could be spent better elsewhere" -From the country with massive military over-expenditure.
  6. It's not to much of an issue. In the event you somehow manage to get locked out as an average user, then you can contact EA Support to add more keys and lift the ban. The Customer Support that EA have is a much higher quality than most other places as of recently, such example as steam (Unfortunately). You can get a response from EA Support in anything from 10 to 20 minutes on average from Origin.
  7. A nice price indeed, shame I won't exactly have the hardware to run that however. Would be nice to have
  8. Anything from £100-£300 This is mostly for low end cost solutions, but can be differently priced in that bracket.
  9. Hey there, again folks. So i've been looking around, for a nice 1440p monitor. Although there are some cheap options I notice the price goes up quite substantially when looking into IPS 1440 monitors. My current monitor is an IPS Asus VN248HA 1080p which I personally thought looked quite nice in comparison with an LCD screen (However not always is it obvious, its mostly when really looking for differences are they noticeable in some cases). I will likely use this as my side monitor. What i'm curious about: What would you reccomend as a LCD 1440p Screen? And how about 1440p IPS screen? Also prices must be relative to the UK and £ (Don't use a currency converter, it doesn't work that way!) My budget is quite low, but i'm genuinly curious as to what the good options are even on a budget.
  10. That build is eye-tearingly well built. I commend you. Also despise you because that isn't mine, you didn't see this, shhh. /Jealousy
  11. That case looks like a living enigma, although that is one massively open side window with its different design would make an awesome looking build
  12. This is the first time i've seen that case I've seen a lot of people being interested in that case, very sleek and nicely designed I've only seen that case once, however it was with a full hard-pipe water cooling build. It was absalutely glorious. A great case, especially for its price
  13. Hey there folks! I'm curious as to what cases people have owned in general, which cases have you had issues with? But most importantly - which is your favourite case you have owned or currently own? Personaly: I personally do not have a history of any desktop cases besides the CM Storm Trooper, I find it a very nice case with some great expandability. Although it is, well, quite large to say the least, it compensates with some decent quality and the ability to carry it around. (Even though I could've solved that with a smaller build, that case is heavy) So folks, tell me your own experiences
  14. Managed to solve the lives issue, however a new issue has arrised; when taken to the high score menu it does not allow me to enter a persons name, it just leaves a blank space, with the score there. My current code for it is: obj_tablecontrol Event: Create Action: Execute Code Event: Draw Action: Execute Code Any idea how I could get this to allow the user to insert there name, then save the occurring high scores (Doesn't need to permanent, just saved during that launch of the game)
  15. With Obj_player I created a collision event with Obj_lava, with the action being Set Lives relative to -1 In debug mode I looked at lives value and it does in fact drop when touching the lava, reducing 1 at a time, but the transition to the room does not happen
