  1. So a few months ago I noticed a strange black "smear" on my monitor. I was kind of hoping it was just a temporary thing so I ignored it, but after a bit of trouble shooting I'm just at a loss. It doesn't look like any artifacting I've ever seen, and I'm honestly stumped on whether its a monitor or gpu issue. It's only slightly noticeable on desktop, but launching a game like Team Fortress makes it really bug out and "pulse" which makes me sort of feel like a gpu issue. Some games its super noticeable, in some it's not as noticeable. It just feels like if it's a monitor issue, it doesn't make sense (to me at least) that the problem would get worse under different gpu loads. Things I've tried; full DDU display driver uninstall, turning g sync on and off, swapping display port cables, updating monitor drivers, full monitor power down Specs: ASUS ROG PG279QZ, i7-6700k, MSI GTX 1080 You'll see in the video when I select classes that haven't been fully loaded, TF2 has a classic little "hang" for a second, and during that second the streak on the left flickers. 2. Thanks, that actually helped quite a bit
  3. Of the cases shown next to the Prodigy
  4. Thats great, but the only thing is i dont know the size of the other cases
  5. I am wanting to build a PC with this case, but I would like to have a fairly good idea of how big it is before I pull the trigger. It can be compared to anything from a monitor to a can of soda, since I can't find many helpful pictures on the places I've looked that give me a good idea of its size. This help would be REALLY awesome.
  6. Meh, I chose to go balls to the walls with this, but thanks for the suggestion
  7. I mostly chose those because the first iteration was much more balanced, but I still had like $600 to spend. Since I already had all of the peripherals I needed, I sort of just wanted to go balls to the walls since I had the extra cash.
  8. That's what I was hoping someone would know, there don't seem to be any builds with the Prodigy and the Nepton, so I really have no solid answer. As a side note, what was overkill about it?
  9. The build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FLxbrH Most of the parts I have chosen are pretty much what I want and will take some debating to make me choose something different, but I will gladly listen to suggestions on some different parts. The main component that I am still fairly shaky on is the PSU. I know 650W is a little bit on the too much side, but I wanted to have a PSU that would not have any trouble running the system. Any suggestions on a better and/or cheaper PSU would be greatly appreciated. Of course $1800 needs to be the max, not including mail-in-rebates, and also needs to be Mini-ITX, and I chose Newegg and Amazon for the vendors because I don't really feel like ordering from 6 different websites. Also, in case if anyone asks, I don't live near a Micro Center. 10. The Bitfenix Prodigy is a fairly large m/ITX, but no worries, I will definitely make sure they fit, and thanks for the recommendation
  11. That is what I was thinking of doing after looking at the reviews for the 105
  12. Yeah the H105 is looking good, I might go with that one.
  13. Yeah I was thinking of getting Noctua fans, but im still turned away by the looks
  14. Thanks, the H105 actually seems pretty good!
  15. I am going to have an i7-4790k that will be at stock speed, at least until an OC is more necessary, and after looking into the H100i I have a few questions regarding the cooler. Also the case I am using is the Bitfenix Prodigy 1. I have heard quite a bit that it seems to have some hardware/software issues for some people, I have also heard that DOA coolers seem to be frequent in the reviews I have seen. How often does this really happen in your experiences? 2. I have also heard that stock fans are a little loud, I would like to know if this is true and if I should stick with them or get different fans. 3. Should I just flat out get a different 240mm AIO closed loop cooler? I know there are others, but since the H100i is one of the highest rated closed loop coolers I was hoping that it would live up to that. This would be SUPER duper helpful, and thanks to anyone who responds The build I am trying for (in case anyone wanted to know for recommendations) http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Vidiot/saved/P8n8TW
