  1. Actually wait I’m gonna add a picture, it’s on DP but shows hdmi
  2. It doesn’t, and when I click detect it gives the prompt shown in the picture
  3. So my system was running my 2070 super with only 1 hdmi port plugged into my main HP Omen monitor (the one in the picture currently not working). So what I am attempting to do is add a second monitor that only has hdmi so I switched my hdmi cord to it and plugged my main monitor in with display port. After doing this I get no display from my main just my secondary, both are on and working it’s just not receiving signal from the gpu. I’ll attach pictures to help.
  4. on so from what I know I can still do things on my pc while the screen is black, I haven't done any test or trouble shooting. I have a Ryzen 7 3800x and a 2070 super founders edition. I experienced this once in the past when i was testing a different computer on this monitor so that's what I'm lead to believe the problem is.
  5. I've had my pc and gpu for a few months now with no problems. In the last week however I keep seeing little artifacts or white dots on my screen that are very noticeable on black backgrounds. That wasn't a problem though until my screen start going black few a few seconds every minute it happens in all programs and has happened about 7 times while typing this. it wasn't doing any of this before and the connection on the cord is secure, any suggestions?
  6. Update and this part really confused me, my pc detects them but only as an input device, my speaker does come with 2 jacks 1 for speaker 1 for mic so I made sure I was using the sound one and I am.
  7. So I was rerouting my microphone cable and doing some general cable management and normal stuff like that. When I get get done, everything on my pc worked great except the speakers, the have power and are on as well as plugged in to the Line-Out port (was working before) but now pc pc doesn’t detect them. I didn’t do anything to my knowledge that would have damaged the cord and it is plugged in all the way. I really don’t know what to do.
  8. I found one used is this everything I need to mount it?
  9. So as mentioned I have a AMD Athlon X4 860K with a MSI A68HM-E33 V2 mother board. I’m looking for a decent cpu cooler under 50$ for it but don’t know what’s compatible. Any suggestions?
  10. So I recently got a motherboard from a pc that I got and it got only has a 4 pin for the cpu. I figured I could just not plug one of the 4 pins in that are standard on most psu’s but I just wanna make sure
  11. So I got to this screen and I’m not sure what to do it. You can read what is says, I tried reformatting it but nothing happened
  12. So I swapped out the hdd for a ssd and the san disk have the installer on it, what order do I put these in or what do I do next
  13. So I’m working on my grandparents old pc from 2011, they wanted me to change out the HDD for them so I did. Well the first drive I tried didn’t have windows on it but I got it to post. Then I changed out the drive with one from my second pc with windows on it and it does post but doesn’t load into windows. It’s just a black screen with a white blinking line like it wants me to type. I can get into the bios and changed the boot order to the HDD and not the optical drive but still nothing. Any suggestions?
  14. Ok so I put my cpu and cooler back but when I booted up it’s just stuck blowing and full speed like it Norma does when it boots up but it won’t stop and my monitor it’s displaying anything
  15. I tried that but it didn’t change anything, still going into that black/grey screen
