  1. My girlfriend is planning to get a tablet for use for college. The Samsung Tab S7 is right in her preferred price range (~600USD), but we'd like to know if there's anything we should know or other models we should consider. She will use it for: notes document annotation movies/videos maybe light gaming She doesn't do major photo or video editing, and she isn't a gamer, which makes the S7+ a bit of overkill for her. It goes for about 570USD in our area (PH) with just the pen, and she isn't considering getting a keyboard as of now. Is going with this a good idea? Is there anything else we should think about or consider?
  2. I was playing around with YouTube and opened up the "Stats for Nerds" option. I have a 1440p and 1080p monitor, and both are running at 125% scaling in windows display options When I looked at the "Viewport" section of the YouTube stats, it said I was running at a lower resolution that is upscaled (for example, 2048x1152 *1.25 instead of 2560x1440) I understand that this is due to windows scaling and multiplying the numbers will give me 2560x1440, but does this effect the actual video quality I can see? Would the video quality (even outside YouTube, say Netflix or VLC) be better if I ran my monitors at 100% scaling instead?
  3. Long story short, me and my friends are building a system for a clinic/school for special needs children. This will be used by the teachers in their facility while the students watch at home. The system will be used for Streamlabs (set up by us), which will be used by the teachers in their Zoom / Google Meet classes. Also, the system will be used for some photo and video creation (overall light stuff, we recommended them to just use Canva and Adobe Spark to minimize system bottlenecks) As always, we want to minimize the cost, without skimping on reliability and upgradability. The school said they would prefer to shoulder the cost. Would the following specs be sufficient? Part Name Model CPU AMD Ryzen 5 4650G Motherboard ASUS Prime B450m-a (providable) RAM TForce Vulcan TUF 2x8gb 3200mHz Storage Crucial 1tb NVMe SSD Case Phanteks P300A Power Supply Corsair CV550 CPU fan included with cpu Operating System Windows Home 64bit Camera Logitech C922 Pro (2 units) Headset (w/ mic) SteelSeries Arctis 7 2019 Wireless Notes: We will offer a GPU (1650 probably) as a future upgrade if the iGPU can't cut it The school already has monitors and kb/m available. NVMe storage in my area, weirdly enough, is the most affordable (vs 2.5inch) The school will use 2 OBS scenes, one for facecam and one facing the board. We think a wireless headset would be good since they would switch between both sets. The headset doesn't need to be the best in terms of comfort or sound quality (though that would be good), I think it'd be better to focus on connectivity (2.4GHz instead of bluetooth) and good mic quality.
  4. Ok man, thanks so much for your help!
  5. hmmm. rn I'm considering doing it through BIOS. Would it be okay if you walked me through it?
  6. It seems like this is also just a 3700 all core oc
  7. As a noob, I think I'll go with Ryzen Master since I don't want to mess anything up in my BIOS accidentally. If it matters, this is what the status of my cpu looks like now in ryzen master This is much better thermally, but in power terms too right? Also, is OC on here just as simple as doing this? Then stress test?
  8. I'm pretty sure I turned it off before doing all of this. I'm doing the bmarks now and i plan on doing them again with some OC. What is the easiest way to do PBO/Basic OC? Ryzen Master or BIOS? I'm sorry I have so many questions, this is my first time dealing with all this config stuff.
  9. At first I didn't uninstall it along with the other tweaking software because I thought it only affected network reliability. Little did I know!
  10. I'll run the gauntlet on benchmarks then I'll get back to you guys.
  11. oh my god you are right. I sorted by CPU usage on task manager then GameFirst V was "very high" on power usage and was using the most cpu util. Ending it made my temps instsntly drop down to 47C. I'll test and restart a couple more time to make sure this is solved. I'll try this too and get back to you ASAP Turning default mode of ryzen master seems to have made it default to balanced now. Thanks!
  12. I was on Ultimate Performance. when I'd select Balanced then restart, it'd default back to Ultimate. Trying to delete it would just remake itself
  13. That's what I thought too. How can I fix this? I uninstalled all other ASUS tweaking programs, and just left Ryzen Master installed.
  14. This is what it looks like now. Are there any more BIOS settings I could use to help temps? The rest of the board is on stock bios version 3202
