  1. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Um4yr_/saved/DNCmxr Hi Made this list, tight on budget so dont really want to go higher, but can do a bit if necessary. May go for used parts if I find a good deal never built a pc before, will be my first build. Going for a white micro atx build. (white gpu costs about £40-50 extra, probably will go for a white one in the end) Anything thats wrong, or any different parts that would work better for that budget? Games: aiming to play games like gta, cod, fortnite, forza, general AAA games Many thanks
  2. Hi, I got a crucial P1 nvme m.2 500gb drive for my laptop, it feels slow from my pervious ssd. takes ages for files to transfer to usb drive I ran crystaldisk, is this result good?

  4. Hi on my task manager i have 'program' Cant open file location but its enabled, my laptop is performing fine on lenovo ideapad 5 Anybody know what this is? Thanks
  5. Hi I have a idepad 5, 5-14iil05, 81yh00hmuk I bought last week second hand. When you power it on, the power white led is on. and the Esc (Fnlock) key is white as well. and the screen is black. I need to hold down the power button to turn it off then when i press the power button again it boots like normal. Ive done all windows updates and updated to latest bios Is there a reason for this? Thanks in advance
  6. that's what I assumed, but im scared its not as the original battery that i bought from the other person i used it for the weekend and it never did that issue. but when i got the new battery that issue started, and i thought it was the new battery fault. but now the original battery has the same issue Is there anything during battery change that couldve caused it?
  7. I bought a preowned lenovo 530s laptop, seemed good when checking it out, had windows 11 which i then downloaded windows 10 on came home and set windows up, an its full charge captain was only 10.4 out of its original 45.45wh. So I still used it for 2 days while waiting for the grade B official lenovo battery i ordered from ebay. i switched them, and i charged the laptop to 100% with the new battery, used it for 3 mins then it suddenly dropped to 0% and laptop died. Thought it might be a one off thing. so i recharged to 100%, used for 20 minutes, battery was around 65% and it dropped to 0% again. So i switched it back to the original battery i bought it with because that would be better to use and the same thing happened. after about 30mins of usage, it dropped to 0% and shut down. windows says its updated, lenovo automatic driver update on browser says everthing is updated. How can i fix this? (I've got the latest bios version and now im writing this with it plugged it in, laptop is at 14% and im guessing as long as i use it plugged in it shouldnt randomnly shut down to 0%)
  8. the yoga 7 looks like it does from the pic, but my main laptop doesnt have it and its never really bothered me so not fussed about backlit keyboards
  9. Hi, I have these 2 lenovo yoga options to choose from. It will be my secondary light laptop for travelling to uni, just doing word documents, java programming, spss, nothing heavy. Multiple apps, browser tabs will always be open (8gb ram should be fine, my main laptop has 8gb and it runs well) But not sure which model to choose from, which would be better for me? A lenovo yoga 5G 14Q8CX05 5G (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx) or a lenovo yoga 7 14itl5 ( Intel Core i5-1135G7) the yoga 5g is an arm processor, but everything that i plan to use it for, the softwares support arm anyway (I understand price might be a factor, but just want to know which is better for now regardless of price) Thanks!
  10. Hi I have a lenovo idepad 5 15ARE05, ryzen 4500u, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd A fast powerful laptop ive had. that boots up in around 10sec Last month i spilled water on it, and had to get the screen replaced, since then sometimes when i turn on the laptop via the power button, it either takes 3-5mins to actually show the boot screen or takes longer than that then i hold it down to power it off again then turn it back on again. When shutting down, most of the time takes 5mins for it to actually shut down. Flip to boot most of the time works instantly, but after a hard reset it doesnt work any idea why this is happening, i replaced the cmos battery but it hasnt helped. (I dont have a detachable battery by the way, but on vantage it says its in good status) Thanks
  11. Oh ok I didn't realise that. Thanks I'll probably consider buying a windows one.
  12. Hi, I was thinking of getting a cheap chromebook, add more ram or just a bigger ssd and install windows on that ssd. Would that work? Not sure how the internals of a chromebook are. Reason I'm thinking of doing that is because it'd be cheaper then just buying the laptop with windows and storage I need. Plus a bit of fun
  13. Yeah it's quite heavy. And a 15.6 inch The Samsung one is 14 inch. Looking for that size
  14. Hi, I was looking at a samsung galaxy book 14, 8gb ram, 128gb ssd, with a snapdragon 7c gen 2 cpu 2.55GHz I was doing research and it's an ARM cpu not a standard x86 cpu. Im planning on buying this for uni, i study computer science so i'd be downloading stuff like python etc. Will that cause an issue with programs? As I heard that windows apps dont work well on arm cpus? (I have a windows 10 laptop, a powerful one that'll i use at home, just found this cheap one i want to take with me on the go) Thanks
