my favorite part of this vid is that all the audio is in the right channel except for the intro tune. nice job love it.

The only reason they haven't publically announced when they might announce the top 30 is because they aren't 100% sure they will meet that deadline. Once they have the top contestants locked in they'll announce it.
 
So I'm assuming this means once the top 100 are selected by the separate team; Jono, Him, and Linus select the top 30; and then from the top 30 they select the top 3.

Yeah, I am pretty much number 2 - but probably without the "being sad" part.
 
The editing killed the impression, could have been much better off with building from the skit in the beginning.
