I have zero experience making custom VBIOS haha, but I could try. The 950m driver is the one GeForce Experience auto detects, and yes I've tried it, but no luck with it. Why would it work on linux and not windows though?

I think I did a poor job explaining what's happening. The graphics card outputs image, in fact I'm using it right now. The issue is that Windows gives the error 43 and the driver doesnt work correctly. The system animations are laggy and 3d rendering is rough (games, etc). On linux (ubuntu) it works as intended so far.

It came from an ASUS OEM prebuilt, we can't expect much xD Anyways, I'm just trying to find a firmware/driver to make it work as intended. I forgot to mention it does *seem* to work correctly on linux (Ubuntu) but Windows throws the code 43 error.

For a while now I have had this GPU that a friend of mine gave to me when he upgraded his system. I believe his PC was an ASUS pre-built. This GPU is really weird. As you can see in the photos, it clearly says "GTX 950M", and the performance on my friend's PC was about expected for the model, but i haven't been able to get ANY drivers working myself on my PC. It outputs video, HDMI and VGA both work, GeForce Experience detects it as a GTX 950, but when using GPU-Z, it doesn't detect any memory, and the frequency sensors always report 0. The best I can assume is that there is custom firmware that works together with the prebuilt's original motherboard's BIOS. I also found a video on YouTube about this exact card, but it just shows it working and in the comments, about a year ago, they posted that they don't have the GPU anymore and they don't have the drivers as well. Does anyone else know anything about this GPU? (First post on LTT btw)
