  1. I've looked at so, so many cases. I still don't know what one to pick. I don't need insane thermal performance or anything, not insane airflow, but still welcome airflow. I don't really want to spend more than ~100 or so. I've heard good things about the Fractal Meshify C, but also heard in 2020 it's not worth it compared to others. I can't made a definitive answer. Any help? Specs: Sapphire PULSE RX 580 (8GB), Ryzen 3 3200G (Soon to be Ryzen 5 3600), Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB (16GB), MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, Corsair RM (2019) 750W
  2. Ngl, that Fractal one looks too good to be true; I mean, 10 year warranty, 650 wats (i'm looking at 650 model), Platinum, and only ~120 dollars? Even with 5 star reviews, is this PSU THAT good? I don't really know the "fair" price range for PSU's, but damn, that looks good
  3. I have a Sapphire PULSE RX 580 (8GB), Ryzen 3 3200G, and am getting Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 RAM, and an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. What PSU should I get? I've checked the tierlist, but can't decide on any of the PSU's. I want one with future capabilities, so durability/longevity, but also enough watts for when i eventually upgrade to a Ryzen 5 3600, and any future GPU (Ofc not a 2080 or 3080 or anything, but y'know, something.) I am not looking to spend 300 dollars on a PSU. I already don't wanna spend more than 120 dollars.
  4. What's Furmark? Is it some GPU testing program?
  5. Every now and again, my PC would flash to a random-colored screen, audio from the last second would loop and I would be forced to restart my PC. I know this is the GPU as i had it in an old pc, it crashed in there, and when I put it into this new one it continued to crash. I don't believe this is a power issue because: It never crashes during GPU intensive games. For example, it will crash while browsing the internet, watching youtube, or playing something that hardly takes up my GPU like The Binding of Isaac Rebirth But when playing GPU intensive games I can hardly run well, like DOOM, Resident Evil 3, or For Honor, it has NEVER CRASHED ONCE. Not a single time has it crashed while playing any game that puts strain on my GPU. The GPU in particular is an XFX RX 550 (4GB) CPU: i3-3220 (don't judge okay i know my pc is weak) RAM: 4gb DDR3 PSU: Corsair CX430 Motherboard: Dell Optiplex 7010 Motherboard (Look I had no other options, i'm upgrading my pc very soon) Does anyone know a fix for this? And before people say, yes I have updated my drivers, Yes I have cleared all dust out of the fan.
  6. I hear the Phanteks Eclipse P400A is especially good for it's price point (~$90). I don't know whether or not to order it myself though. Maybe give that one a try?
  7. That's a strange case. I was just wondering what you were talking about as searching "N450" on Newegg doesn't show any cases.
  8. what case is that? can you link it?
  9. I've heard the Meshify C doesn't really hold up well in 2020 compared to other similarly priced cases with better airflow. Though will the airflow it provides with stock fans be worth it? Will they hold me over until I get aftermarket ones? Like I said I like the aesthetics the most in the Fractal one but heard that the recent Lian Li one and Phanteks one are just simply better in most ways.
  10. I've been looking at cases (more airflow oriented) and while some of these cases like the Phanteks P400a and the Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh seem great airflow cases, they are about 100+ dollars, and so I've been wondering; How important is the airflow to a case, and how much should I actually spend on it? Do I need these 150 dollar max airflow cases? Will the extra 10 degrees of air actually affect things? If the airflow is that important, what cases would you recommend that aren't y'know, over ~120 dollars.
  11. Oh, nice. Yeah that even further supports my decision getting a B450 board. Although I do appreciate people at least suggesting thinking about the future, although I'm not the kind of guy buying the new GPU's or CPU's, I simply don't have the kinda money for that stuff. I can afford a mid-high tier build, but not these 1500-2000 dollar builds with RTX 30somethin shit and intel i-9billions and shit.
  12. I'm not completely sure what an "apu" is (im pretty sure its inegrated graphics) but I have an RX 580 as a dedicated GPU. I ordered the Ryzen 3 3200g when I knew a bit less about pc's and didn't realize that saving the 100 for the Ryzen 5 3600 was the way better option, so really as long as it can handle the Ryzen 3 for until I get the Ryzen 5 that's fine.
  13. Nice! That pretty much puts the nail in the coffin; The Tomahawk it is! I'll look into the Pro one, though I like the looks a little better in the Tomahawk. And if it is guaranteed Ryzen 3000 ready, and a confirmed BIOS update for the new Ryzen 4000 (which i wasn't really planning on getting anyway but hey at least its there) and it has good vrm's, than I'll likely get it. The only other thing I've heard is better about B550 boards is "PCIE 4.0" slots, which I don't know alot about, but I heard it isn't really worth it and I likely (an average gamer who doesn't play competitively or need 144+fps) won't need it.
  14. Alright, ty. Also I couldn't really tell from the comments, but so most of these B450 boards can support the new 4000 Ryzen with a BIOS update, or no? I couldn't really tell.
  15. Just to clarify, Zen 3 is the new 4000 series coming out, right? Also I have no idea what the "4 (8 in pair) 4C029N shit means, I don't know that much about motherboards other than the basics. What would you say is the "Best" B450 board (if there is a definitive "best") at around the 125 dollar price range?
  16. Alrighty. I don't even remember where I saw that, but i do remember seeing it. I'll look into getting a B550 board and to see if it can fit my budget. But incase it doesn't, and I need a B450 board, is the MSI Tomahawk the best option?
  17. I've heard alot about how great this board is, specifically the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. But on the other hand I've heard about how this board is "overrated" and "overpiced" My build is a Sapphire PULSE RX 580 (8GB), Ryzen 3 3200g (Soon to be a Ryzen 5 3600), and Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB RAM. So my question is; Is this board still a good option to pick up? I want a board thats Ryzen 3000 ready, and honestly the BIOS flash doesn't really matter since it's already 3000 ready (Unlike something like the Asus ROG STRIX, which could or could not be 3000 ready, so the BIOS flashback would actually be useful). I've heard it can still support the upcoming 4000 Ryzen's, and I don't see myself needing a B550 board (Unless this is wrong, correct me if so). I don't want an MATX board as I've had bad experiences with them (SATA ports being blocked by GPU, bad VRMS/Heatsinks, etc.) And i'd rather have the extra space and comfort of an ATX board while not needing to spend 200 dollars on a board alone. Assurance this is the right board for me or other better alternatives would be nice to know. I've been making many posts on this forum site as i've just discovered it and I want to be extra careful/sure that my parts are quality and will work for me.
  18. Oh no, I don't plan on overclocking until I get an aftermarket one. I just have a bit of a tight budget, and i'd rather get something like a quality case or quality psu than an aftermarket cooler when I don't really need it right now.
  19. Awhile back I bought my GPU and CPU; The CPU being the Ryzen 3 3200g. I didn't have money for the rest of my parts (The reason I ordered those 2 was cause I thought the GPU would work with my current and future board and I thought I could order a motherboard too but something came up). I plan on getting an MSI B450-M Tomahawk MAX as I hear its great, Ryzen 3000 ready and if I needed for whatever reason I could flash bios without a chip. Anyways, I was looking for RAM to pair with this Motherboard and CPU. I do plan on upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600 whenever I can. TLDR; What RAM works best with my current CPU and potentially my future one? I don't really care about RGB (though I don't mind it) and what clock speeds will I benefit from most? Will 3600 ram sticks be worth the extra money compared to 3200 ones?
  20. After looking at many, many cases that are more airflow-driven I boiled it down to 2 cases, the ones as said in the title. I have a couple questions about both cases and hopefully the replies will help me make a definitive choice; 1. What is the overall build quality of the two? In Youtube videos its said they are fine, but I've seen reviews (Specifically on the Lian Li one) that they have sub-par quality. Is this true? 2. What is the actual damn price of the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh? In Youtube videos i've heard its a 90 dollar case, but on Newegg its sometimes $125, sometimes $150, and on Amazon I can't even tell if the case i'm looking at IS the Lancool II Mesh. 3. Just HOW important is the extra airflow in the Lian Li? If it does get to a more stable 125-150 dollars, is that extra ~30-60 bucks worth the airflow/quality over the Phantkes P400A, which has a constant $90 price point? My buddy has almost the exact same build as me (Ryzen 5 3600, RX 580, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200 RAM) and he uses some ThermalTake one with a closed off front panel. Will the extra airflow be worth the 60 bucks as stated before? Will the extra 10-20 degress in my build really affect my performance? Build: Ryzen 3 3200g w/Stock Cooler, Sapphire PULSE RX 580 (8GB), MSI B450-M Tomahawk MAX, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2X8GB (3200), Antec NeoECO Gold Zen 700w PSU
  21. Ty. I'll pick whichever one falls under my budget. If I can spend ~100 dollars on one, I'll possibly pick up the Fractal one, though I don't want to have a situation where I ugprade and my PSU can't power my system since it doesn't have enough wattage, as my current build (which is more inbetween mid-high tier) still takes a full 400w to power (according to PCPartPicker) so iit doesn't seem like too many upgrades to start pushing that Fractal PSU (I could be wrong though).
  22. I'm mostly buying online from Newegg and Amazon. I don't really want to spend $100 or more unless its a REALLY good PSU. I don't really care about non-modular PSU's that much as I'm getting an ATX case, although I don't mind Semi-modular ones. I'm powering: GPU: Sapphire PULSE RX 580 (8GB) CPU: Ryzen 3 3200G (Soon to by a Ryzen 5 3600) w/Stock Cooler Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB (3200) Although if the only real downside to the Antec PSU its excess cables, i'm not worried about purchasing it.
  23. Another thing, the recommended CPU for RE3 is the i7-3770. It has the same # of threads as the Ryzen 3 3200g, but the Ryzen has a slighty higher Base Frequency than the i7 but 4 less threads. How much of an impact will 4 less threads have?
  24. Unfortunately there are even fewer videos on RE2 with this specific setup. Well the one review I DID see on RE3 had 4GB of RAM and a Ryzen 3 2200 (I donno if thats worse or better than the 3200g), and they had constant 60+fps on 1080p Max settings, the ONLY drop below 60 was 58 fps when an explosive barrel blew up.
  25. I don't really know anything about the "quality" of PSU's, and even after searching it up I still don't understand. Is the PSU I plan on getting (Antec NeoECO Golden Zen 700w) a good quality one? It's rated 80+ Gold.
