Hey all, I have been out of the game for quite a long time and just recently decided I was ready for an upgrade. I just picked up a 6700k and an Asus Impact VIII this afternoon and now am trying to figure out what I could use for memory. Due to being out of the game for so long I was thinking my DDR3 would be backwards compatible, but it's not. I was just reading a few other posts about this board in particular and how DDR4 is different in ways than DDR3 in regards to latency and such. I have also noticed the trend of higher clock rates on DDR4 and was reading that there is a sweet spot for clock speed vs latency and bottlenecks on the cpu (not 100% I read that correct or if it is correct). Anyways I was kinda digging the way the G-Skill Trident memory was looking and they have some reasonable clock speeds - not too high, not too low. I was wondering if this is a good decision or if you could please recommend a good suggestion and possibly give me a little more insight into the DDR4 realm. Thanks in advance!

only been able to connect to it once since arena commander started, server overload maybe? also anyone have any idea when the stuff that comes with the connie package will be delivered? or is that stuff not even created yet?

Moving out and looking for a no fuss solution. About a year ago my parents needed a new one so I got the best most expensive thing we could find since we all have a ton of devices, I was like "hmmm, this should do" and it has. that was the Netgear R6300, and really we have had next to no problems with the router itself and it has been more than sufficient. When we got it it was priced @ $200 since it was brand new. As I said tho I am now looking for a similar solution. I have probably 6+ things @ all times attached to the internet and my gf probably 4. The two I was looking @ in particular was the Netgear Nighthawk, and the new Linksys WRT 1900AC. I know the Linksys one is $50 more than the other and from what i could determine was because of the higher clock speed by .2 ghz and the use of an extra antenna [though the antenna is not always in use, it just has 4 and uses the 3 that are better in range or so]. Just wondering what your opinions were on these two routers and is the extra $50 justifiable. I know linksys offers another option @ $200 as well the Linksys EA6900, which is also similar in specs. Not to smart in the router world so someone help me make up my mind! thanks in advance!

thanks for the replies peeps! only reason we're having to upgrade is because my old h100 i put in her case, the pump started leaking a fkin fried her motherboard and graphics card. She has had her new mobo and stuff for a while but we have been waiting to get a new card. 750 ti it is! thanks again! wish i could sue corsair -____-

meh, that was the same as like her 550 ti? there is that little of a graphics improvement? I mean i know its all about power savings but dang

Thinking of picking up a 750 ti for my gf's new computer. Could this card max out games like dota / lol / etc.. Ya know no triple A titles but the games that are cartoony looking?

hi, working on an app that involves that will bring up a preference fragment, though i really have no idea how to get this to show up on the screen. There really isnt much on google to explain this except a few overly complicated examples, I guess i could elaborate a little more if need be, but I just want to get this fragment to pop up and display choices. Any info on this would greatly help!
